What's the happenings during the 2nd to the last face-off between La Salle and Ateneo? Heto (more to come!) oh, there oh.

Over The Green Fields: Vengaron el gusto más dulce la segunda vez alrededor pero es amargo la otra manera alrededor

    As I am writing this entry, many Lasallians from the other side of Taft as well as brother Lasalistas on this side are prepping up to the much awaited De La Salle University Green Archers vs Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles 4th duel as the right to become UE's contender is now under the dispute of the two on Season 70 of the University Atheltic Association of the Philippines (senior men's basketball division).

    One thing is for sure, neither one of them are gonna let the opportunity pass. Especially on the side of Ateneo where it has to beat La Salle's twice-to-beat advantage. Just recovering from last Sunday's victory over the UST Growling Tigers, the Blue Eagles are more determined than ever to get even with La Salle whom they have defeated in their first three meetings.

    La Salle on the other hand, wouldn't take no for an answer. Not content of winning over Ateneo once, they want to make a repeat of it so they could reclaim the UAAP crown which they had forfeited several seasons ago due to eligibility problems. So to make sure that they'd be able to get to the top, they have to remove obstacles that bar the Archers there, first of all the UE Red Warriors which had a tremendous 14-0 record for Season 70 but above all the Eagles which is perceived as their greatest rival.

    Ateneo is a quarter and a century old while La Salle is about to hit its 100th year sometime this decade but their rivalry is timeless.

    Right now, I see a lot of people wearing green, especially La Salle-branded T-shirts, not only from those in La Salle Ubut also here in Benilde (We Are One right?).

    I'm planning to go to Araneta to watch a UAAP game for the first time which is not through Studio 23 but through my eyes. Depending if the tickets I was reserving was given to someone else, I will go, even if it has to be general admission.

    Not everyone is sure who will win so it really depends that if La Salle win, it'll be them against UE but if ADMU wins, a repeat  will determine the fate of both universities.

    What I'm really worried about is Norman Black's squad, Chris Tiu, Kirk Long, and that other guy. They somewhat become the next JC Intal and Doug Kramer or something plus the tendency of La Salle to fail defending their momentum once they reach the fourth quarter of the game. I really hope Franz Pumaren would do something about that before battling against Black's squad.

    But over all, it's all guts and no glory and hopefully no riot will erupt. So good luck and enjoy!

Reality and Dreams: Be Bench/ The Model Search

    Just finished reading Ehm-Ahr's blog entry about her "paradoxic realities". It inspired me to wirte an entry about this dream I had yesterday before I was rudely awakend by my dad thinking I was going to school at 8 am (Ordev-B starts at 10:30). It's going to be short dream so don't expect me to write anything long like my othe entries.


    Okay in my dream, I dreamt I was one of the finalist of Be Bench/ The Model Search, a reality model search which just folded up a week ago on ABS-CBN. I was (in my dream of course), hot with six-pack abs (bleeeghh, still dream to have abs though). I was (in my dream) wearing a Bench/ Body underwear and was walking along the catwalk (or so I dreamt).

    The next thing I knew, I was in my bed, wearing my home clothes, covered with a blanket, my cellphone next to me and a noisy radio set on either DWWW 774 AM or DXBB 590 AM greeting me "good morning".

    I still remember that dream, does it mean that I'm going to be a Bench model very soon? Let's wait to find out!

The CSB Experience: DKDV1

    Irregulars are common usually on block sections that are mostly frosh-composed but that's from my point of view. I'm not really sure If it's common on upperclass sections too. Cmoe to think of it, every term, students get to choose their skedsadn ended up being in different sections so it's really kind of mixed up.

    For now, let's focus on frosh sections. Usually the reason why an irregular (sorry if it sounds very discriminating, I don't know what I can call on non regular blockmates) is in a section that not his is because of he following: 1) It's either he's an athlete, 2) he failed a prerequisite subject, 3) he need to make up for remaining units to graduate and, 4) he's just simply there.

    Last term, we had four irregulars in DV1. Two were taking Filip11, one of them also have Philippine History. Both of the we see thrice a week. Both are athletes, one is a basketball playertaking HRIM, the other a swimmer taking MMA. Another one is a CDA major, almost a graduate. She took up Gepsych. Last is a swimmer taking Bibstud, and for sure she's from DV7 meaning she's also MMA.

    Actually the reason for student athletes to do this kind of set up is for them to become readily available for training. Their schedules are fixed according on when they train that's why they are so. An incentive which is a good advantage for student athletes is that they don't have to attend regular PE classes (excellent 100%).

    On the case of upperclass peeps taking up subjects from lower years, I can't really tell.

    They're Rose, Isaiah, Micaela, and Charlotte.

    Now for this term, we already have two irregulars in two separate subjects.

    One is an Export Management with ID105 (A college junior I presume). He takes Intecom with us thrice a week and since our professor there is the same guy from last term's Gepsych, I can say that he sort of reminds me of Charlotte since both of them are older than us. Yeah, his name is Von.

     Another is a CDA frosh who just came in yesterday for ComSki (Sep. 21 and I don't care howyou wanna read it, I prefer saying it as "ComSki"okay? Not "comsk-one-dash-ex"). Well, can't really say but he's going to be with us for the term for Comski and I'm sure he'll fit in this wacky section that no other, DV1. I think his name is PJ, if I stand corrected please correct me now. Other than that, maybe he's a student athlete or something but being CDA, I guess he's an EFL (English as a First Language).

    Back in last term, we didn't know that Isaiah and Micaela weren't our regular blockmates, especially that the latter is HRIM. So now we know about this "irregular" thingamajig, it'd be no longer a problem for us not to be surpirsed on such a stiuation like that.  

    It's already the start of the term and the whole of DV1 expected that the next three months will be the three months of DV1. So before we reached the DV1's last day, I guess we should do our best and we're all in this together.

The CSB Experience: 2nd Term The First Week

A lot of things happened when I spend the first week of the 2nd term. So in view with this, I'll try to point out what happened day by day.

Wednesday (Sept.12)
-My little brother's birthday. Surprise to know that Mr. Sanchez from gepsych is my prof again for Intecom. Got good start with Ms Insocio. Miss Algeb and MIss Comski. I surrendered my position as president and gave it to my obvious heiress, Jisney "Queen" Sabong (hehehehe). Got invited to go to ABS-CBN to be part of live audience for ANC's Square-Off but tunred it down since I'll be celebrating my little bro's 15th birthday with the rest of my family.

Thursday (Sep. 13)
-Met up with new profs for Filip12, Dynarel, and Algeb-x (thursday lab). Got tongue tied while reciting my Tagalog prayers (obviously it's a sign that I'm no longer in SJA). Sir Mendoza, pawis na pawis but gave out life to this sleepy class. As early as now, they were forewoarned of our extremities.

Friday (Sep. 14)
-Black friday as usual. A lot of guys are prepping up for STAR Week.

Saturday (Sep. 15)
-Got into battle of the sister schools as DLS-CSB and DLSU battle it all out with the Freshers' Cup. Got downgraded early. Didn't feel so good the following night. A thought came to me.

Sunday (Sep. 16)
-The thought's keep bugging me. Got a new phone and went out with the family with a overdue birthday trip outdoors. Went to Megamall to buy my new Samsung phone (thnx! Love you! My first phone in 2 and 1/2 years!). Went to Boni high Street to made (in konyo lanuage) pasyal here and there and got to see Bianca King and Luis Alandy walking along with groups.

Monday (Sep. 17)
-Adjusted with 2nd Term. Mediamax booth still yet to be finished.Just recruited three applicants. CSB debsoc yet to prep. Met up with PE 4 teacher, ex-Green Archer and former PBL and PBA cager (redbull!)

Tuesday (Sep. 18)
-A thought came to me again. During C-Break, hanged around CSb Debsoc booth. Been thinking about it already. Got good start while talking to a fellow SDA frosh, good way to let the thought come out. Later, got turn to look after MediaMax Booth. Been thinking a lot about it.

Wednesday (Sep. 19)
-I wanna say it but don't have the guts to face it. Got to watch STAr Week Performances from first few orgs. MediaMax orgmembers the best talaga!  CSB Pep Squad, still pepping up  the animo!

Tamaraw Effects: Ang Dami Raw Nila

       I came across fellow batchmate Henry Benaid recently while I was walking along Araneta Square (I was on my way home that time). We greeted each other and since he was there, I asked where is he now, he said that he's now studying at Far Eastern University (FEU). I asked then if were there lot of people from our batch who who go to FEU, Henry answered that they are quite many of them there.

    FEU was one of the places that I wanna applied to. I already secured an application form thanks to the FEU reps who went to Saint James last year. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to fill it up and pass at on time for it went missing after somebody had the whole house experience a massive overhaull!

    The only reason why I like FEU is the fact that they also go for green with gold (the other being CSB with white and black and La Salle with white). Other than that is that I wanna pursue my dream course which is really Fine Arts. My dream university, UP, didn't accepted me but I got a chance at UE's Caloocan campus but for external factors, I didn't enrolled there.

    FEU's kind of sentimental on my family's part. That's where my dad finished college with a degree in Electrical Engineering (he also had a taste of Adamson U which he didn't tell us until later on).And in a twist of coincidence, that's where he and Russel I's dad met and became schoolmates (Russel and I were classmates back in Grade 6).

    And now I know that there's a lot of people from our batch who go to that big Art Deco building I see whenever the LRT passes through Doroteo Jose. Too bad really, but even so I'm still happy here in Benilde. Sinu-sino kaya sila, si Henry pa lang ang alam ko doon, sino pa bang iba?

    If ever I do go there as a student, I'm imagining myself wearing an FEU uniform or even its PE Uniform, with Green and Gold cotton t-sirt with a tamaraw logo on the upper left corner and a Green jogging pants to go with it. Hehehehe. If ever it would happen.

The CSB Experience: Term Breaker 1

    Hay, mabilis tumakbo ang isang linggo. Bukas, simula muli nang bagong term at papasok uli ako sa mas maagang oras. Imbes na alas dos y medya ang unang regular na pasok ko, alas onse a diyes na ang simula. Kainis naman, eh di ibig sabihin, mas maikli ang C-Break namin, grrr.... Well, Kolehiyo naman iyan, nagbabago. Ang nakakainis rin eh, inusod hanggang mag sampung minuto bago mag alas siete ang ang labas namin. Eh di pag-uwi ko, malamang mga alas otso o alas nueve ako makakarating ng bahay. Buti na lang, maaubutan ko pa LRT sa oras na iyon.

    Nga pala, lapit na rin ang STAR Week sa susunod na linggo. Anong booth kaya ang ima-man ko, sa DebSoc o Mediamax? Siguro, ayusin ko ang linggo ko next week para pareho. Kailangan pa ba ng presentation ang bawat org? hiya ako kaya wag na lang.

    Kamusta naman ang term break ninyo diyan, blockmates? Siguro na-enjoy niyo nag sa inyo kahit medyo maikli lang. Well, deserving naman kasi ang daming nangyari, alam niyo naman...finals, Natsca, finals, blah blah blah.

    Well, halos pareho lang ang takbo nang bawat araw sa'kin.

    Nung Wednesday, nanood ng TV, naglinis ng bahay konti, nag-Internet at nag-simula magreupload ng mga videos ko sa Youtube after dinisable non ang account ko. Kainis nga lang nawawala ang isang file ko, iyung Ejodo: La Semana Pasada. Iyun pa naman ang very memorable kong gawa kasi talagang ganda kahit slideshow movie lang siya na may kantang "Exodus 04" ang BGM. Oh well...

    Thursday naman, kuhanan ng mga course cards. mabilis ko silang kinuha kaso nabagalan ako sa oras kasi ang tagal ng durasyon bago dumating ang susunod na teacher. Sina Sir Rafs nahuli sa oras, mga higit sa isang oras late ang isa habang si Sir Edz mga 2 oras kasi di kaagad makatakas mula sa opisina niya. Halatang buwisit siya sa mga reklamo sa kanya ng seksyon namin. tsk Tsk. Medyo 6:30 na ako nakauwi sa bahay. Sulit naman ang araw ko kasi kahit medyo mga alas onse o lapit sa hatinggabi ako nakatulog, puno naman kasi sumunod na araw walang pasok, kaya medyo mga seven na ako gumising.

    Sumapit ang araw ng Friday, kumain ako ng almusal then nagsimulang magsalang ng lalabahin and then nanood ng TV (Princess Sarah, Love in Heaven, Eyeshield 21 at ISWAK). Nung araw ding iyon, napanood ko ang final episode ng fave kong telenovela na Inocente de Ti na nabaliw si Donya Rebecca't pinatay sa parehong paraan kung paano niya pinataya ang kakambal niyang si Donya Racquewl at si Julio Alberto at florecita ay nagpaklasal na sa wakas. Nagkaisa na ang mag-anak na Gonzales nang umamin na si Mrs. Smith sa tunay niyang pagkatao kahit dedots na si Mang Reuben, at tumino naman ang ditseng si Isela. Ah, enjoy na rin. Nung araw na ding iyon, nagdesisyon akong di ako tumuloy sa 4-day debate camp training namin sa Taguig (sa may The Fort) sa dahilan na kinailangan kong ayusin kaagad ang salamin ko matapos nag-expire at naisra ang mga contacts kong sinusuot. Nung panahaong iyon, ang salamin ko, isang lens (sa kaliwa) ang tanggal habang ang nagsnap ang contacts ko sa kanan. Nag-improvise ako, bale sinuot ko ang contacts ko sa kaliwang mata ko tapos sinuot ko kaagad ang salamin ko na may butas sa may kaliwa.

    Nung Sabado naman, nag-father-son bonding kami nang dad ko sa SM Valenzuela. Pinaayos ko salamin ko tapos bumili kami ng grocery at ng mga kakagamitan pang-konstraksyon para sa bunso ko na may project sa TLE. Inupload ko muli ang mga ibang videos ko sa Youtube then nagsimula na ako sa paggawa ng bagong movie ko na Intrams Volume 3 para mabigyan ko nang conclusion ang Intrams 07 (kaso ang sounds, wala pa hehehe).  Inupload ko rin iyon kaagad.

    Dumating ang Sunday, uuwi na si Mommy galing Sweden (for a DOF-related purposes). Nakapagsimba muli ako kasi nung nkaraang linggo hindi kasi may pasok ako non pati ang isang sunday bago non. Naalala ko nung isang linggo, nilapitan kami ng choir sa parokya namin at iniimbitamkaming magkapatid na sumali sa choir nila kasi kami lang yung kumakatana nan malakas (Bakit kaya kami lang?).

Kahapon, Monday. Nagstay ng buong araw papa ko. Hinatid niya lang si mommy sa St. Luke's Hospital para sa isang EC (executive check-up). nakapag-laba ako at naglinis nang bahay habang si papa tulog maghapon. nung 2:30 gumising siya't nag-ayos then umalis na rin para isundo si Mommy. hehehe. napanood ko rin iyung pilot episode ng bagong show sa Channel 2, ang Zorro: La Espada y La Rosa. Umulan rin kaya di muna ako tumuloy sa paglaba hanggang sa ngayon.

Ngayon lang, nagsimula na ako sa paglalaba. May binabad si Kuya para ma sampay ko rin pagkagising ko. probelma, binabad rin ni kuya isang damit ni mommy na nagbleed. ang masama pa doon, ang mantsang naging resulta sa pagbleet nang damit, dumikit sa 2 polo ni Papa na puti pa naman,Yung isa grabeh habang isa maliit pero halata pa rin. Wala kaming magawa sa isang, kaya binabad namin sa tubignna may Tide. Ri nga namin nilagyan ng bleach sa takot baka madamay ang ibang kulay ng polo. Ako nga rin, may ginawang kasalanan. Bale, piniga ko muna iyung basang damit an dekolor at isinabay ko sa mga isasampay kong damit na dekolor rin, akong ang problema, nagbleed rin ito nng pinatong ko ito sa mga damit na dekolor na nasa isnag basket para aking iakyat patungo sa roofdeck nang bahay kung saan namin sinasampay ang mga damit namin. sayang naman. Ba't di na lang kasi bumili ng bleach na puwede sa mga de kolor!! By the way, nakapaglaba na rinako kaso, ung huli kong batche, di ko kaagd naisampay kasi sumbaya sa pagsama ng panahon. Umulan kaya di ako kaagad nakapagsamapy, kahit na ambon na lang nung mga 5:30. Nakapgluto na rin ako ng nilagang manok, nung isang gabi, adobong liver. Masarap ang kinalabasan kaya mmmm..... delicioso!


    Kaya hayun, ganon ko ginastos ang aking unang term break bilang isang college student. Sana ibang experience naman next term break. Well, back to normal muli!! PEACE YO!

The CSB Experience: Experiencing DV1

    During much of the duration of the first term, I got to know my blockmates and I can't help but say that we all got along pretty well. Here we are:

1. James Habitan-Ang guwapong class president ng DV1 na talagang nag-alalala ng lubos sa kanyang mga kaseksyon. (Ows?)
   
2. Chris Perez-He's from Laguna. Madalas nakikita ko siya nagsusuot ng sandals. Kabarkada nina Amanda.
3. Ferdie Lanusa-Ang tagabigay buhay ng DV1. Walang araw ang di kulang kung walang salita na mabibitaw mula kay Ferdie. Popularized phrases: "Miss Poligov", "Sometimes", "Miss Portia", etc. Kabarakada nina Gilbert.
   
4. Issi Afable-Ang "skater girl" ng barkada. Madalas nagsusuot ng mga sport shoes at knee-high pants.Kabarkada nina Amanda. Developed a special friendship with one of the blockmates.
   
5. Genesis Deveras-Ang kapares/soulmate ni Jane. Madalas nakikitang may suot na puting bag na kahit nakaupo, suot pa rin. Di kikilos kung wala si Jane at vice versa.
   
6. Jane Borata-Ang kapares/soulmate ni Geneis. Siya ang most reasonable sa kanilang dalawa. Mukhang telenovela star. Mukhang lalaki kapag ginupit ang mahabang buhok. "10 months pregnant" na siya.
7. Mikee Perez-Ang rock chic nang DV1. Mukhang mataray pero kapag kinilala mo mabuti, may mabuti siyang puso. Laging nagsusuot nang dark clothing pero minsan nag-iibang kulay rin naman. Siya ang rock chic version ni Alyssa (di ba halatang magkamukha silang 2?).
8. Jenn Gepte-Isa sa mga singkit nang DV1. Wala akong masabing negatibo sa kanya ngunit isa sa mga na"brinjalized" ni Sheena. Nakatira siya malapit sa CSB kaya walking distance lang.
9. Alyssa Matias-Ang skater girl ng DV1. Madalas nakasuot ng mga pang atleta na suot. Mukhang outdoor person siya. Ang maamong "kakambal" ni Mikee. (Napagkakamalan ko sila noon).
10. Sheena Villanueva-Ang laking Kuwaiti na Expat Pinoy. Nakatira sa isang condo sa Vito Cruz. Ang nagpauso sa salitang "Brinjal" isang tipo na eggplant na galingsa South Africa. Mukhang nalalasing kahit hindi naman, lalo na kung nagiging hyper siya. Kilala sa bansag ko sa kanya na "SUPER S"!
    
11. Marlon Castillo-Sa di sinasadyang pagkakataon, nakunan ko siya nung nagkaroon nang isang inter-school athletic meet ang lahat ng mga Siena schools sa Siena College San Jose del Monte noong February 2007. Mabait at matangkad, mula sa mga na-Brinjalized na bahagi ng seksyon DV1, ay tumawid siya sa kabila't naging kaberks nina Amanda. Developed a special relaitionship with one of the blockmates.
12. Ma. Angelica Pacay-Kabaligtaran sa kanyang pangalan ang ugali kung si Pax ang pag-uusapan. Si Pax ay hindi peaceful dahil marami siyang kayang naipapakita't nagpapahanga sa'min lahat. Isa siya sa mga magaling sa paghandle ng Adobe Photoshop at ang maingay na miyembro ng mga na-Brinjalized ni Sheena.PEACE!
13. Angie Tagyamon-mukhang maamo ang istura pero very uniform ang personalidad nila ni kaibangang Alex. Na-brinjalized siya ni Sheena.
14. Alex Lara-Sa unang tingin aakalain mong Inglisera siya, pero overtime, malalaman mo na ang Montessorian na ito ay di pala. Isa sa mga na-Brinjalized ni Sheena, siya'y malapit kina Angie, Pax, at Sheena.
15. Inna Quintia-Akala ko noon (as in noon pa) ang mga Assumptionista ay maarte pero pinatunayan ni Inna na di lahat ng mga taga-Assumption ay ganon. Kung nakatalikod, aakalain mong si Sheena siya pero iyun pala si Inna pala siya. Inna-Sheena, Sheena-Inna. Isa sa mga na-Brinjalized kagaay nina Alex, madalas ko silang magkasamang magkabarkada sa loob at labas ng classroom. Kilala rin sa bansag kong "SUPER I"!
    
16. Katriz Yang-Ang dim side ni Amanda. Ang tanging regular na DV1 na galing sa isang Lasallian institution (De La Salle Zobel). Tahimik siya madalas, parang di kumikibo't di ngumingiti pero first impression ko iyon. Sumunod pagkatapos ay isa na siyang kabarkada nina Amanda.
17. Reyna Tupaz-Isa sa mga tahimik kong kaklase sa DV1. Palakaibigan at puno ng kabaitan. May espesyal na ugnayan.

20. Tina Espina-It's Tina in Manila. Akala mo isa siyang foregin student pero katunayan Pinoy siya na may konting accent sa pananagalog.Best friend ni Czarlene at kagaya nina Aje ay taga Colegio San Agustin rin siya.
21. Geric Mamon-Isa sa mga Ilonggo nang DV1. Naaalala ko ang Kuya ko sa kanya dahilsa kanyang pagka-care free na personalidad. Mukhang nagdidilat ang mata pero iyon talaga ang mga mata niya. Ka-berks sina Raymond at Rex.
22. Dino Dans-Isa sa mga kabarkada nina Ferdie. May kakaibang pagkahilig sa mga t-shirts na may tatak na marijuana (baka may ibig sabihin like parang reflection sa pagkatao niya example kungwari maraming babae ang malululong sa kanya).
23. Aje Acabal-Ang best friend ni Jisney sa DV1.Bukod sa nabanggit ay friends niya rin ang mga kaseksyon niya na galing CSA. Madalas kumuha ng mga litrato at video sa kanyang digicam. Isa sa magaling sa photoshop at isa mga tumuloy sa temple (ryt?)
24. Joaqui Soriano-Ilonggo rin tulad ni Geric. Friends nina Aje't Ferdie. Madalas siyan ang model ni Aje sa mga litrato niya kapag nagbabrowse ako sa Multiply.
    
25. Isaiah Dee-Kasama namin siya 2 subjects MWF. Kasama siya ng CSB Varsity sa Swimming kasama si Rose. Hinihinala ng ilan noon na may kamag-anak na sikat. Mabait rin at palakaibigan. Graduate siya ng La Salle Greenhills.
    
26. Raymond See-Dude! Ang kabarkada nina Rex at Geric. kulot ang buhok't nakasalamin. ayaw niyang may humahawak sa kanya na walang dahilan. Hirap liwanagin sa kanya ng mga ilan bagay minsan.Paboriotng sabihin "Dude", "pig destroyer" at "Pare".
27. Edward Buencamino-Kasapi ng inner circle of friends nina Ferdie. Kasama sa lungkot at ligaya, hirap at ginhawa, magpakailanman. Unang pumasok, itim ang buhok, pagkaraan non ay nagpakulay na rin ng buhok.
28. Niko Ylaya-Ang kasapi ng inner circle nina Ferdie. Best seen with curly hair, polo shirt, tight pants and checkered shoes with a tie on top. Magaling maguitara. Mukhang Boolmfields at Beatles.
29. Camae Garcia-Ang pinakatahimik sa buong DV1. Mabait siya pero tahimik lang talaga. Magaling sa Photoshop. Magaling rin siya gumuhit nang manga.
30. Kathryn Serrano-Kapag tumatawag ka ng Kat, siguraduhin mong kung sno kasi 2 ang "Kat sa DV1. Si Katriz at si Kathryn. Si Kathryn ay taga-Tayuman kaya minsan nasasabay ko siya sa LRT pauwi.Mabait at palakaibigan. Isa sa mga na-Brinjalized ni Sheena rin. Katulong ko sa paggawa ng paraan para makalusot ng PEonepf.
31. Paul Ordoña-Madalas nale-late sa mga unang klase sa umaga. Mabait at kabarkada nina Amanda. Galing pa sa Timog kaya nahihirapan rin makarating ng CSB on time. Naligaw minsan sa bus na dumala sa kanya tungong Quiapo.
32. Lance Tanlimco-Ang pinakasingkit sa mga singkit ng DV1. Tinutukso ng ilan na polar bear pero mabait rin siya. Di nga lang mapagkakatiwalaan, sa bahagi ko, dahil sa ilang bagay na talagang mapapainis ka kun ikaw ang nasa posisyon ko. Friends nina Rex.
33. Amanda Bantug-Laking America kaya fluent with eloquence ang kanyang English. Ang brigther side ni Katriz.Madalas nakangiti at lider ng grupo niya kasama sina Issi, Marlon, Paul, etc.
34. Hoogie Espinosa-Late na pumasok by one week sa kadahilanang nasa Alemanya siya nung Mayo a beinte'y otso. Inglisero dahil lumaki sa lugar where it is EFL. na-Brinjalized rin nina Sheena pero kasama rin siya sa grupo nina Amanda. Kilala sa paggawa ng mga kakaibang alterasyones sa kanyang litrato sa tulong ng Photoshop.
35. Jonathan Modino-Ang best friend ni Jason sa DV1, laging nasa dulo malapit sa pinto. Kahit di pa dinidismiss, umaalis na.
36. Jason Arboleda-Ang best friend ni Jonathan sa DV1. Naka-wheel chair siya pero di ibig sabihin ay limitado siya sa mga bagay bagay. Kaya niyang mag-gitara at kilala sa pagkakaroon ng suklay na di nahuhulog kaapag nakasabit sa buhok niya.
    
37. Jeff Roxas-Ang Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo ng DV1 dahil sa kanyang lunal malapit sa labi. Pinagkakamalan noon bilang isa Aje at vice versa pero di na muli naulit iyon. Kilala sa pagiging palatawa at close kina Franzi, atbp.
38. Micaela Eleazar-Tulad ni Isaiah, hindi rin siya regular sa DV1, sa Filip11 lang nami siya kasama. Miyembro siya ng girls' varsity sa basketball. Ka-Block niya sa HRM sina Nicky Aquino at Nikko Plata.
39. Gilbert Redoña-Ang long lost "borther" ni Ferdie. Halos pareho sila sa lahat ng aspeto. Isa sa nagpauso ng Capoeira sa DV1 at isa ring magaling na drummer. Host siya ng CRIBs kung saan naipakita niya ang tirahan ni Sheena. Noon, pinapares silang dalawa pero nag-move one na ang dalawa.
40. Franzi Trinidad-Madaling i-locate si Franzi sa aming mga taga-DV1. Siya ang madalas nagsusuot ng mga damit na tatak FUBU. Mula pang-itaas hanggang pang-ibaba, Fubu ang siguradong tatak. Magaling gumuhit at mabilis pa. Nagulat kaming lahat nanag may nalaman kami about him.
41. Rex Arcenas-Isa sa mga Ilonggo ng DV1. Kapag kausap si Geric, nag-iIlonggo sila kaya wala na akong maintindihan, hehe. Nagmamaneho ng sasakyan. Kabarkada niya sina Geric at Raymond. Nung una, kalbo siya pero tumubo na ang buhok niya ngayon.
42. Jisney Sabong-Ang Smoking Hot Gal ng DV1. Graduate siya sa katabing eskwelahan na St. Scholastica. Best friend ni Aje sa DV1 at kasamahannina Tina, Czarlene, Jiko, atbp. Siya ang nagpauso ng phrase na "That is so FETCH!".
43. Charlotte Imperial-Ang pinakamatanda sa amin at isa rin sa mga iregular na blockmates ng DV1. Kasama namin siya tuwing Gepsych lamang. Isa siyang CDA (Asuntos consulares y diplomáticos/consulaire et diplomatique affaire) major na malapit na ring magtapos. Nagsasanay maging diplomat kaya madalas nasa abroad. Kulay orange ang buhok at late minsan pumasok. Ako madalas kasama niya dahil ako ang itinuro ng guro namin para gabayin siya.
44. Carlo Garcia-The other Garcia ng DV1. Kilala sa pagging isang "Zanjoe Marudo" look-alike. Kasamahan nina Ferdie sa hirap at ginhawa. Athletic kaya matangkad. Musically-inclined kaya magaling sa gitara. Nagsilbing punching bag ni Sheena minsan. Minsan, naka-corporate attire siya.
45. Rose Dangoy-iregular rin siya, tulad ng mga nabnaggit ko kanina. Member siya ng Varsity team ng swimming at batchmate ni Inna sa Asumption. Ka-block rin nina Gelli at Justin sa DV7.
    

At iyan ang grupo ng mga makukulit, maiingay, maganda, maskulado, at marami pang iba. Galing man sa iba't ibang lugar, dumayo man mula sa kalayuan ng Rizal, sa mga La Paz batchoy ng Iloilo, hanggang sa Bundok Apo ng Mindanao. Mananatili mang isang seksyon grupo sa loob ng tatlong buwan ngunit pagsasama'y magpakailanpaman.

            Ika-20 ng Marso 2017, ito ang gabi ng High School Reunion ng Batch 2007 ng Saint James Academy ng Malabon. Lahat ng mga inimbita ay dumalo, iba na ang mga itsura nila pagkatapos ng maraming taon na lahat sila’y nawalay sa isa’t isa pagkaraan ng ng kanilang graduation sa hayskul.

Maraming mga pamilyar na mukha rito: si Lani Reyes na medyo reklamadora, ngayon isang magaling na florista na may negosyong flowershop sa Navotas; Si Rang Cabanatuan, ang pinakasikat ng lalaki ng buong batch, rising star na ngayon sa Philippine Basketball League; at ang dating mataba na si Ronald Patrimonio, bodybuilder at gym instructor na siya sa Tonsuya, pagkatapos iyon sa maraming taong pagbubuhat ng weights sa Asmeg.

“Gabby? Ikaw ba iyan? Ako ito, si Cam!” sabi ng isang alumnus. “Cam? Ikaw nga ba iyan? Grabe, pare! Laki ng ipinagbago mo?” sabi ng isa pa. “Ahhh!! Ranelle, tagal na tayong hindi nagkita, as in!” sabi ng bruhahaha queen na si Mana Dominguez, “Friend, you look so yaman na? Sexy mo na, ha?”. “Well, not that I’m bragging anything, ang nakikita mo ngayon ay resulta ng aking pagpapa-lipo, courtesy of our dear friend, Dra. Augusta Singson-Calayan!” pagmayabang ni Ranelle kay Mana. Sa isang sulok ng auditorium, may mga magkakabarkada na ngayon lang muli nagkasama, “Lucky, ‘musta na ‘tol.” Bati ng Ron Valencia na dating kartunista ng pahayagang COX. “Well, okey lang ako, ineenjoy ko lang ang reunion”, sumagot ang Artist of the Year na si Leo Ramiro”. Nagtanong ang kaibigang si Jaycee Carlos, “Rinig ko, Lucky (palayaw ni Leo), nagpropose ka na kay Selina?”. “Tinanggihan niya ang alok kong magpakasal. Hindi raw siya handa, kaya cool-off muna kami pare” lungkot na  sagot ni Lucky. “Dude, huwag ka mag-alala. Tingnan mo naman ang relasyon nina Rico Hizon at Angge Romero, Rio Sena at Nicolesa Aguila, Penang at Rev, Luisa Liu at Mari Collum, at Lauro de Tagle at Rita Borle. Lahat sila, dumaan sa mga awayan at hindi pagkakaunawaan, ngunit, naayon rin nila iyon dahil may tiwala sila sa isa’t isa”, payo ni Ron , “Hintayin mo ang pagkakataong stable na ang relasyon ninyong dalawa at magsasama kayo ng matagal”.

Samantala, pinag-uusapan na marami ang palapit na  pagkakasal ng dalawa sa pinakasikat at pinakamatalinong miyembro ng kanilang batch. Dumating na rin sa wakas, ang hinihintay, ang magkasintahang Mariel Rodriguez at Kenmark Reynes. “Friendship, happy kami na ikakasal ka na. Inggit ako sa’yo”, maligayang sinabi iyon ng matalik na kaibigang si Shiela Hermosa. Sagot naman ni Mari, “Well, what can I say? I never thought that I can find the perfect guy within Kenmark. Hindi ko nga rin akalain noon na magiging kami na pagdating ng college!”

“Sweetheart, iwan ko muna kita rito, pupunta lang ako sa restroom at babati na rin ako sa dating nating kaklase” nagpaalam si Kenmark. Paalala ni Mari, “Okey, honey. Balik ka kaagad, ha?”. Lumapit na rin kina Mariel at Shiela ang ibang miyembro ng MRICF o ang Mariel Rodriguez’ Inner Circle of Friends. Sinabi nina Cornelle at Janna, “Wow, naman Mariel. We can’t believe na magiging kayo pala ni Kenmark. Tingnan mo pa naman ang engagement ring, it’s so socially expensive!”.

Sagot ng dalaga,“Yeah, I can’t believe that he used all his earnings from his law practice to buy me this”.  Nagpaalam si Shiela, sinasabing “Mari, alis muna ako, may aasikasuhin lang ako”. Pumayag si Maviel.

Lumalim ang gabi at painit pa lang ang party.Si Clarissa nagkitang magkaholding hands sa nobyong si Mundo de Gracia. Si Pernille Pinatagon-Lemonezo naman  ay nakitang magholding chin sa asawang si Ren Lemonezo. Si Michael Ray Gervacio nga lang ang nag-iiba, kasama niya nung gabing iyon ang mapapangasawa niyang si Aimee Resurreccion na isang graduate sa St. Mary’s College sa Meycauayan imbes sa Saint James. Nagkita muli ang ngayo’y sikat na indie artist na si Rogie at ang kasabayan nung hayskul na si Zeke na ngayo’y executive na ng Ayala Real Estate Holdings.

Hindi naglaon, napapansin na ni Mariel na matagal na niyang hindi nakikita si Kenmark.  Hinanap siya sa kung saan. Tinanong niya Si Denmark Lubao na kasintahan ni Lani R., si Rikko Del Espiritu na isa nang member ng isang sikat na dance troupe, at maging si Czaramara Maca-ajon na isang militante ngayon ng grupong Gabriela. Lumabas siya ng auditorium at sa hindi inaasahang pagkakataon, nakita niya si Kenmark, ang kanyang  nobyo at malapit na maging asawa, at ang kanyang matalik na kaibigan, si Shiela, magkayakap at naghahalikan sa tabi ng balcony sa kabilang building ng eskwelahan. “KENMARK! SHIELA! What’s the meaning of all these?! Kenmark, ano..ito? And Shiela, how could you do this to me?!” Galit na tinanong ni Maviel ang dalawa.  “Uhm, Mariel, let me explain all of this”. “No Kenmark, answer me this! We were on for six years, for goodness sake! Minahal kita at minahal mo ako! Ano ang pagkukulang ko!? At bakit ikaw, Shiela, kaibigan ko pa naman kita?!”. Takot na sagot ni Shielo ,“ I’m sorry Mari. It’s just that, noon pa mula  nung bata pa tayo, may pagtitingin na ako kay Kenmark”. “She’s right, Mari, akala ko noon, six years ago, sure na ako sa desisyon kong maging tayo. But, I felt that something was missing. I felt that whenever you’re with me, I can’t feel the happiness I expect that I’d be getting from the one I love the most.. It was Shiela all along.  Sorry if I was not loyal to you, but I tried my all not to let this happen pero nangyari ang nangyari”. Pakiusap naman ni Shiela, “Mariel, sana maintindihan mo ang sitwasyon naming dalawa. Wala kaming lakas na loob na sabihin sa iyo ito dahil mahal ka namin at ayaw ka naming makita kang nasasaktan, kaya aming itinago ang nararamdaman namin sa isa’t isa”.

Pero hindi nakinig si Mariel, “How could you do this to me?” Umalis si Mariel na luhaan. Hindi niya alam kung ano na ang mangyayari. Palabas na siya sa gate ng school nang may nakabangga sa kanya. Nagalit si Mariel at sumigaw sa bumangga sa kanya “Hey, watch where you’re going. Bulag ka ba?” Lumingon siya at nakita kung sino ang kinakausap niya. “Mariel, ako ito! Di mo ba ako natatandaan?”. Naalala nga ni Mariel ang mukhang iyon. Siya ang dating baguhan sa eskwela na huling pumasok at siya lamang ang tao sa silid-aralan kaya tinulungan siya ayusin ang mga gamit nito. Nakita ng lalaki na umiiyak si Mariel kaya dinala niya siya paakyat ng auditorium.  Sinabi ni Mariel sa kanya ang sitwasyon niya  habang nakaupo sa isang mesa. “You know, you can’t really tell what love can do to a person. Minsan, ito ang nagdadala sa iyo sa wagas na pag-ibig , kung minsan, hindi.”  Sagot pa ni  Mariel sa kanya, “Napaka-unfair na ganong concept. I never realized kung gaanong kumplekado ang umibig”. May naisip na suhestson ang lalaki, “Alam ko na, para naman makalimot mo si Kenmark, try moving on”. “Paano naman?” tanong niya.

“Heto, tutulungan kita”.

Mellow music naman ang tinutugtog ng DJ, kaya perfect ito  para sa kanilang dalawa. Nagyakapan sila at nagsimulang sumayaw.Sa hindi maipaliwanag na dahilan, magaan ang pakiramdam ni Mariel habang katabi siya, hindi niya ito maipaliwanag. Malamang ito raw, inisip niya, siguro ang ibig sabihin sa kanya ni Kenmark. Hindi naman niya alam na may pagtingin rin ang binatang kanyang kasayaw. Mula pa noong una silang nagkita ay may crush na siya sa dalaga. Ngayon lang niya na-realize na pagmamahal pala ang nararamdaman niya kay Mariel.

Habang lahat ng mga alumni ay sumasayaw nung gabing iyon sa kanilang high school reunion, ang tinugtugtog ngayon ay ang awiting“Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga”.

Jamers Batch 07, 5 months after

    Hi Guyz! This an update on what the class of 2007 are up to 5 months after graduating from SJa last March 29, 2007.

    Looks like many of us are getting well-adapted to our new surrounding now that we're now blenidning in to our college lives. Maviel was privilege to talk to AdMU senior men's basketball team, I just found out that Russel I.  came home for vacation (may nadevelop na kayang twang siya?), si JB magsisimula nang pumasok sa Grade 11 sa FL, si Camille rinig ko magdedebut na, at so on and so forth).

    Sa totoo lang, wala talaga akong balita sa kanila, ang tanging bagay na nagbibigay-alam sa akin sa mga kaganapan ay ang Multiply websites ng mga kasamahan ko galing HS. Paminsan sa Friendster pero sawa na ako dyan kasi Multiply at Facebook ang inaatupag ko ngayon.

    Nga pala, nagkatoto na ang binaggit ko noon tungkol sa nabigyan na kalayaan sa paghuhusga ng kapalaran ng mga istura natin. Si Mechel, nakita kong long hair na, si Robin at Jeco kapal bangs, si Ace may butas sa tainga....Kaso, sila lang mga nakikita ko lang sa side namin ng Taft. Ano kaya ang itsura ngayon ng ibang Jamers? Hmm...

    Kamakailan lamang, nagkaroon ng mini-class reunion ang IV-Dominic nung kaarawan ni Ms JQ (the same day as ang big game ng Ateneo at La Salle nung July). Si Errald medyo matangkad pa rin, si JM di pa rin nawawalan ng paraan para gumawa ng ka*alang hayaan sakin, si Paolo proud and true Bedan! Yeah! Si Sandy, proud Malabonian kasi sa CMU siya nag-aaral, nagsimulang nag-aral sa malabon, sa malabon din siya tatapos (kaya ako hanga sa kanya). Si Czarmaine, wala paring pagbabago. si Pat, mukhang teacher na, hehehe. Si Kat di ko naabutan sayang.

    Sa Enigma siguro makakaalaman na kung ano na ang nagyari sa isa't isa kahit marami rin ang tiyak na di makakapunta. Ako nanganganib na hindi makapunta kung iyon ay gaganapin sa huling sabado o biernes ng october na parehong linggo nang posibleng pagsabak ko sa inang paligsahan sa Baguio. Kaya ipagdasal niyo na lang na makakarating ako sa Enigma para kunan ko kayo ng mga litrato!

    Sa ngayon, inaaupload ko muli ang lahat ng mga original videos ko sa Youtube after na disabled ng website ang current account ko. Ngayon, naiiyak na ako dahil mukhang di ko na makita ang video file ng La Semana Pasada na ginawa ko noong March 2007 bago pa man kami grumaduate ng high school nung March 29, 2007. Jung di ko makita ang video na iyon, iyon na ang pangatlong SJA movie na nawala na nang tuluyan.

Reality and Dreams: Nakawan, Iyakan sa Isang Panaginip

    Can't believe I still remember this dream that I had last night. I dreamt that I was in a classroom full of blockmates and we had a guest sitting in a wheelchair telling us about something. Suddenly, one of my "classmates" just came in looking surprised as he passed through the wheelchaired guest.

    The next thing I know was that the guy in the wheelchair started crying saying that his wallet was missing, he believed it was stolen and the only suspect was "my classmate" who looks like one of Justin's classmates who are Chinese-looking. The "classmate" kept denying that he stole the guy's wallet and started to cry too. The next thing I knew, i woke up and had a hard time putting myself back to sleep sine then. And that was last night LOL! My dream ended without giving any conclusion, how sad :):):)

    What's weird is that my dream showed a complete detail of what my "classmate" looks like. Maybe someday, I'll be dreaming of "classmates" who look like the classmates of others. Pweegh!

The CSB Experience: The First Termender

    Hay, the first term has finally finished! I'm done with my finals and got my course cards. My highest is 4.0 and my lowest is 2.0 (i think). Later, I'll be calculating my GPA to see if I could make it as a Dean's Lister (turns out you have to have a 2.5 GPA as of what I've heard).

    So the reason I call this post as "The First termender" is that all that I could have think off as separate TCSBE posts would'nt not get a chance of being one because it's already the end of the first term. Nevertheless, this entry ould give myself a chance to say what I have to say about the all the good and nasty things that have happend during my first three months from May 28, 2007 Monday to August 31, 2007 Friday (excluding the Finals but I'll be mentioning them too):

1. The Thing About PDA's and stuff-Since my first week in CSB, I've been seeing couple performing PDAs or "Public Display of Affection". From Yellow Cab, to McDonalds, to PLaza V. From ordinary hugs to loving sweetness to too much loving smooches (bleeghh). For those who like to do it on places like McDo, I hope they should consider on how people would react as in, how children would react if they see couple smooching their tongues out (blehh blehh blehh)! Gross out the second time. But of course, there are those types of PDA that involves hugs, togetherness, and sweet love talks.
2. Ang isa since high school, and isa naman ngayon lang ay gradual-Mayroon akong kablockmates na sila na noon pa. Di na ako nagtanong kasi alam na naming buong section noon pa. They've been it for a long time I presume kaya masuwerte sila't nasa iisang college aat iisang section sila! I wonder if high school love would last past the first year of college kasi not always siya tumatagal (hala konyo ang sulat ko!) pero hantayain natin ang mangyayari. Meanwhile, may isa pang pares na naging sila ngayong first term. Magkaiba sila ng eskwelahan, magkaiba ng tirahan. Ang isa sa kanluran habang ang isa sa timog (notice I'm not mentioning names?). Of cpurse, like everybody else, we all met each other on the 23rd of May a week before the first day. Doon sila unang nagkilala. Friends naman talaga ang turingan kaya't naging magkabarkada kasama ang mga Brinjalized na blockmates ko.Iyung isa nasa isang left side ng room habang ang isa sa right. Eventually, right at the middle of the term did I ntoiced that they've become closer and closer until they become it. Di na ako nagtanong kung kailan naging sila pero I know it was gradual ibig sabhin, matagal bago tuluyan naging sla na. Young love moves in mysterious ways indeed!
3. The ANGRY Professor-A pun from the Eddie Murphy movie "The Nutty Professor", I remember one time me and my orgmates were doing something inside Room M501 when suddenly a professor looked through the window of the door from the outside. I noticed that someones at the door and he came in saying if we are done doing our thing. I asked him if he's going to use the room. He said yes and he and the rest of his students were waiting for us to finish and our time in the room (there was a vscant period of the room at that time) was all but over. they were waiting for 15 minutes so we apologized and went out but that was before he angrily said to me if I was a professor which left me speechless...
4. PAO-TSIN My Foot!-A pun on my literary piece "Baritone My Foot", the CSb Cafeteria a.k.a Canteen or Caf for short is known for having La Salle MAnila-style service, meaning we have several stalls found on the three cafeterias of CSB , one for every campus (Taft sa Ground Floor, AKIC sa gilid ng CSB Hotel, SDA Bldg. sa may 12th floor). Ang mga stalls ng CSB Caf sa Taft ay ang Chef's Station (food stall ng mga SHRIM students na nagluluto), Kitchen Handlers, Pao Tsin, Koi, at All Around. Sa limang ito, ang pinakasikat at mas dinudumog ay ang Pao Tsin. Ewan ko ba kung bakit siya sikat. Sabi ni Ate Kath, iyo ay dahil sa popular dish nila na Shark's Fin. Ano 'yon, fin ng titiing shark na ngayo'y endangered species na? Ako, sumubok na ako sa Pao Tsin ng mangilang ilang beses na pero di ako satisfied lalo pa't hindi sila nakakabusog. Wala silang price tag ng mga main dishes nila except sa mga nakalagay sa may nakadisplay na menu plus ang mahal, jalos 75 pesos mula sa 100 peso bill ko ang nakokonsume. Kaya ako, solid KOI na lang ako dahil, di lang siya masarap at nakakabusog, affordable pa siya! Belat. PInapatronize ko ang Chef's Station, Kitchen Handlers at All Around pero never ang Pao Tsin. Nga pla, may hot dog stand at ice cream parlor nga pla hehehe.
5. KFC Mahal, McDo Always, Tropical Hut Wow, Jollibee still Loving It!-Sinubukan ko na ang mga ibang food establishments sa side namin ng Taft Avenue. Ang mga popular na food places dito ay ang mga nabanaggit ko sa title plus ang Charlie Brown, at ang mga kainan sa Harrison PLaza at ang mga side trip carinderia sa may Leon Guinto. Ang KFC, okay sana ang food kaso masyadong economic ang size ng mga pagkain. Bukod sa bitin ako sa sa laki, bitin ako sa kabusugan. It's totally not my money's worth. Sa McDo, 2 buwan na ako regular na kumakain sa McDo dahil naka-Avail ako ng mga food coupons good until August 31 my brithday. Ang mga inuubos ko lang ay ang mga kagaya ng one piece McChicken, Chicken Fillet at ang paminsan minsan na Burger. Dito na rin ako sa McDo kumakain ng almusal kung sakali di ako nakakain ng breakfast sa bahay bago pa man ako ihatid sa eskwelahan. Laking McDo ako kaya after 5 years, together with McDo na kami at last! Ang Jollibee, iinahiligan ko nung Grade 6 pa ako. Ang Jollibee kasi ay kapit bahay ng SJA sa Malabon kaya madalas ako kumakain for merienda. Napamahal na rin ako sa kanya kaya nga lang ngayon, medyo hirap sanayin ang sarili ko dahil nasa gilid siya ng CSB habang ang McDo ay nasa harap. Okay sana kasi walking distance kaso iyun nga, di always na palagi ako magdya-Jollibee. Pero I make it a point to eat there kaya Bee Happy pa rin ako! The first time na nasa Tropical hut ako, nasarapan ako sa mga pagkain nila, bukod pa sa mura, ang sarap talaga kaya tiyak na babalik ako dito madalas.
