The CSB Experience: The First Day the Third Time around
This is a very delayed post since our PC didn't have a DSL connection for a week. That's why I'm writing this piece just now.
Okay, somehow I'm able to get used to the fact that DV1 is long gone although, bits of us would found to be in the same class. Don't get me wrong, I do miss my old block section but I guess I need to mingle to other people I haven't met as well, just for a change of environment.
1. MONDAY-W-F
My first day had me go to school earlier since my my first class (which is PETRIID) is at 9 in tye morning. My DV1 classmate there is Hoogie, Geric, Dino and Ferdie. Hoogie and I had the wrong understanding with regards to the location of our class. For one, we thought BC means "basketball court" whcih refers to the court lying just next to Plaza Villarosa. Second, we waited for nothing. Third, we learned to the bitter truth that BC actually stands for "badminton court".
C-break is from 12:40 am-2:30 since I'm already used to this sched since the second trimester. 11:40 is Philoma for which I have Issi and Marlon as classmates and a former seminarian as a professor. 2:30 is Comsk2-x with Issi-Marlon plus Camae and friends.
My Filip13 class was a last-minute change since I have to replace my emptied Bmat slot with another subject. I have a professor with a personality that is so familiar,. somewhat like that of Sir Raffy of Filip11. For the first time, majority of my classmates are SHRIM students (some days, they wear formal, and in others, they wear uniforms) that's why I feel a bit left out although there are a handful of us from MMA.
Last but not least is my Algeb-x class at the AKIC (yeah, AKIC LOLz). this class is also a mixture of majority SHRIM students plus non-shrims (like EMs, CAs, and MMAs). Good thing is that Ms Melody aka Ms Algeb is my lec prof once again and I have good ol Joseph Alipo-on as my classmate (batchmate). I've also made friends with some of my classmates like Charmaine who is also my travel companion at the LRT. Since I'm kind of familiar with Ms Algeb's lessons, some approach me to help them with our lessons. wow! Well, the first lessons before the midterms were really not that difficult, I still have to deal with my fear of word problems before the finals, grr....
2) TH
Good thing about my TH classes is that most of classes, especially my lab subs in Comsk2 and Algeb are all in one day plsu Reconse and Worlite. on thursday, I only have the last two mentioned with a 3 1/2 hour gap (Reconse ends at 9:30 while worlite starts at 1:00 and ends at 2:30). I have no more classes in 4:10 and 2:30 PM every Tuesday and Thursday respectively.
Only in Tuesday would I find myself crossing three roads to three buildings, and I mean all THREE buildings of CSB: Taft Main, AKIC (Algeb lab) and SDA (Reconse).
So far, I'm happy at the way things are going since I really need a breather after two terms of being with DV1 (I'm still with DV1 by the way, for Worlite). Hopefully, I can finally pass ALgeb (a 1 would be nice) and I only have to take summer classes if necessary (that means no more Ilocos for a while).
