The CSB Experience: The First Termender

    Hay, the first term has finally finished! I'm done with my finals and got my course cards. My highest is 4.0 and my lowest is 2.0 (i think). Later, I'll be calculating my GPA to see if I could make it as a Dean's Lister (turns out you have to have a 2.5 GPA as of what I've heard).

    So the reason I call this post as "The First termender" is that all that I could have think off as separate TCSBE posts would'nt not get a chance of being one because it's already the end of the first term. Nevertheless, this entry ould give myself a chance to say what I have to say about the all the good and nasty things that have happend during my first three months from May 28, 2007 Monday to August 31, 2007 Friday (excluding the Finals but I'll be mentioning them too):

1. The Thing About PDA's and stuff-Since my first week in CSB, I've been seeing couple performing PDAs or "Public Display of Affection". From Yellow Cab, to McDonalds, to PLaza V. From ordinary hugs to loving sweetness to too much loving smooches (bleeghh). For those who like to do it on places like McDo, I hope they should consider on how people would react as in, how children would react if they see couple smooching their tongues out (blehh blehh blehh)! Gross out the second time. But of course, there are those types of PDA that involves hugs, togetherness, and sweet love talks.
2. Ang isa since high school, and isa naman ngayon lang ay gradual-Mayroon akong kablockmates na sila na noon pa. Di na ako nagtanong kasi alam na naming buong section noon pa. They've been it for a long time I presume kaya masuwerte sila't nasa iisang college aat iisang section sila! I wonder if high school love would last past the first year of college kasi not always siya tumatagal (hala konyo ang sulat ko!) pero hantayain natin ang mangyayari. Meanwhile, may isa pang pares na naging sila ngayong first term. Magkaiba sila ng eskwelahan, magkaiba ng tirahan. Ang isa sa kanluran habang ang isa sa timog (notice I'm not mentioning names?). Of cpurse, like everybody else, we all met each other on the 23rd of May a week before the first day. Doon sila unang nagkilala. Friends naman talaga ang turingan kaya't naging magkabarkada kasama ang mga Brinjalized na blockmates ko.Iyung isa nasa isang left side ng room habang ang isa sa right. Eventually, right at the middle of the term did I ntoiced that they've become closer and closer until they become it. Di na ako nagtanong kung kailan naging sila pero I know it was gradual ibig sabhin, matagal bago tuluyan naging sla na. Young love moves in mysterious ways indeed!
3. The ANGRY Professor-A pun from the Eddie Murphy movie "The Nutty Professor", I remember one time me and my orgmates were doing something inside Room M501 when suddenly a professor looked through the window of the door from the outside. I noticed that someones at the door and he came in saying if we are done doing our thing. I asked him if he's going to use the room. He said yes and he and the rest of his students were waiting for us to finish and our time in the room (there was a vscant period of the room at that time) was all but over. they were waiting for 15 minutes so we apologized and went out but that was before he angrily said to me if I was a professor which left me speechless...
4. PAO-TSIN My Foot!-A pun on my literary piece "Baritone My Foot", the CSb Cafeteria a.k.a Canteen or Caf for short is known for having La Salle MAnila-style service, meaning we have several stalls found on the three cafeterias of CSB , one for every campus (Taft sa Ground Floor, AKIC sa gilid ng CSB Hotel, SDA Bldg. sa may 12th floor). Ang mga stalls ng CSB Caf sa Taft ay ang Chef's Station (food stall ng mga SHRIM students na nagluluto), Kitchen Handlers, Pao Tsin, Koi, at All Around. Sa limang ito, ang pinakasikat at mas dinudumog ay ang Pao Tsin. Ewan ko ba kung bakit siya sikat. Sabi ni Ate Kath, iyo ay dahil sa popular dish nila na Shark's Fin. Ano 'yon, fin ng titiing shark na ngayo'y endangered species na? Ako, sumubok na ako sa Pao Tsin ng mangilang ilang beses na pero di ako satisfied lalo pa't hindi sila nakakabusog. Wala silang price tag ng mga main dishes nila except sa mga nakalagay sa may nakadisplay na menu plus ang mahal, jalos 75 pesos mula sa 100 peso bill ko ang nakokonsume. Kaya ako, solid KOI na lang ako dahil, di lang siya masarap at nakakabusog, affordable pa siya! Belat. PInapatronize ko ang Chef's Station, Kitchen Handlers at All Around pero never ang Pao Tsin. Nga pla, may hot dog stand at ice cream parlor nga pla hehehe.
5. KFC Mahal, McDo Always, Tropical Hut Wow, Jollibee still Loving It!-Sinubukan ko na ang mga ibang food establishments sa side namin ng Taft Avenue. Ang mga popular na food places dito ay ang mga nabanaggit ko sa title plus ang Charlie Brown, at ang mga kainan sa Harrison PLaza at ang mga side trip carinderia sa may Leon Guinto. Ang KFC, okay sana ang food kaso masyadong economic ang size ng mga pagkain. Bukod sa bitin ako sa sa laki, bitin ako sa kabusugan. It's totally not my money's worth. Sa McDo, 2 buwan na ako regular na kumakain sa McDo dahil naka-Avail ako ng mga food coupons good until August 31 my brithday. Ang mga inuubos ko lang ay ang mga kagaya ng one piece McChicken, Chicken Fillet at ang paminsan minsan na Burger. Dito na rin ako sa McDo kumakain ng almusal kung sakali di ako nakakain ng breakfast sa bahay bago pa man ako ihatid sa eskwelahan. Laking McDo ako kaya after 5 years, together with McDo na kami at last! Ang Jollibee, iinahiligan ko nung Grade 6 pa ako. Ang Jollibee kasi ay kapit bahay ng SJA sa Malabon kaya madalas ako kumakain for merienda. Napamahal na rin ako sa kanya kaya nga lang ngayon, medyo hirap sanayin ang sarili ko dahil nasa gilid siya ng CSB habang ang McDo ay nasa harap. Okay sana kasi walking distance kaso iyun nga, di always na palagi ako magdya-Jollibee. Pero I make it a point to eat there kaya Bee Happy pa rin ako! The first time na nasa Tropical hut ako, nasarapan ako sa mga pagkain nila, bukod pa sa mura, ang sarap talaga kaya tiyak na babalik ako dito madalas.
