Another World of 8 Waves by ~jlhabitan on deviantART
Since midterms is kinda over...Found some time to take the opportunity to make a new photoshop art.
Kinda inspired from an old show from NBC, "Another World":
Bale, I don't have much time to make 2 circles interlock with each other which I could use as both two letter o's and a big number 8 so I instead use a big "8", large enough to become "o's" for "Another World" and as simple "8" for "8 waves".
Critic the art, not the artists :D
I'm currently brainstorming for ideas that I could use for a teaser and eventually a new slideshow movie so stay tuned!!
the concept of using the 8 as the Os is good kea lang it's kinda hard to comprehend it as an O myabe because of the font of the number 8, maybe try to use a font that looks more round,,another suggestion, instead of black, use another font color that would contrast to the blue bg or put an outline ;)
ReplyDelete:D I'll keep that in mind...I'll see if I could make two separate O's or even actual 2 circles to interlock with each to look both as 2 o's and an 8.

Well for me, the use of the black font is okay...It makes the letters look strong and serious and visible although I have to agree that the number 8 needs to be replaced.
ReplyDeleteIf I turn the font into white or any lighter color, it might look very inferior to the blue-green background IMO while any stronger colors other than black would completely ruin the purpose of the art itself.
Dapat pagkita mo lang dito ay may feeling na "feel good" and "relaxed" ang nararamdaman mo dito as well as not too relaxing sa point na na-bore ka bigla pagkatingin mo. :D
I'm thinking white circles para stand out mula sa main font color which is black. relatively big circles that is, so it could still pose for an "8" for "8 waves"
in short: Overpowered
ReplyDelete"of" and "waves" seemed to be out of place. And the backgroung doesn't do much to sustain the idea of the copy especially for those who hasn't really been at 8 waves. I mean, what does an electrical line/post got to do with a water theme park? IMO.
ReplyDeleteFor the sunset effect hehehe...Imagine going to another place...a place you've never been to before and for you to get to that place is to find a "way", a "way" that would lead you to "another world". A kind of road trip that would take you there for only once in a lifetime. A transition from one world to another because "We do not live in this world alone, but in a thousand different worlds."
