INTENSYON: Ikatlong Kabanata, Outbound

[Writer's Note: This entry does not mean to inflict any harm to anyone. This is based on true events so anything that you may find may be offensive. If you don't want to continue, don't read from this point on.]

Kailangan gawin mo to pero dapat hindi from the book. Nakakalito 'no?

Nightfall came at doon nagstart ang aming "outbound training".

Iyung iba hinde nila trip ang matulog eh kaya up till the dusk of dawn ay gising pa rin sila. May nagyosi sa labas, may nag-inuman sa loob and vice-versa.

I don't like what I'm seeing kasi I look up to Senpai and Carol (yeah, they smoke and drink).

In general naman, nagustuhan ko iyung out-of-town namin pero I just really hope that people like Senpai should uphold, with utmost dedication, their roles as models for us members of the orgs.

Enter the J-POD!

Wehehehehe! At long last, the most and long-awaited endless wait of all is over. I have in the palm of mah hands my one own I-POD Nano!! It's a dream made in heaven! Oh yeah! I'm so happy happy!

Well okay, that's too much loving. I've been waiting since August to have my own I-pod so now that I have one, I'm totally speechless!

My ninang who is based in Long Beach, CA bought this I-POD Nano for my 17th birthday but it was only last November when one of our relatives who lives with Ninang came home with a lot of pasalubongs plus my special gift. Base sa resibo na kasama sa I-Pod na yan, it was bought from Costco costing around US$212 (around not exact). If I were to bought one from here, it'd probabaly cost around Php10,000.00 around the same cost as my new Samsung phone.

From its first day of usage, I had 26 songs inserted into it, 14 from my "dramaholic" soundtrack CD volume 1. The next day, I admitted up to 30 more songs from my little brother's collection plus from my own music files, totalling up to 58 songs. Yesterday, I included many songs from Utada Hikaru's Exodus album plus a lot more which had my I-Pod carrying more than 80 songs. Other than that, I also added songs from my friend's multiply accounts like Linkin Park, Solja Boy, and a whole lot more. I plan to have more from the many CDs we have around this house so that I can make use of my IPod's 8 GB memory.

Did I just said "Nano"? Unlike the other Nano models, mine's wider with functions similar to an Ipod Video. It has games, and extras. I'm not sure if it's a newly-updated model but the important thing is, I'm no longer alien to my siblings who all have Ipods of their own.

I want to diversify the kind of music that I want to hear from my I-Pod that's why I'm incorporating songs not only from the Anime/Jpop variety as well as songs that you may find corny but also songs from different musical genres like RnB, Ballads, Rock, etc.

At the very least, I don't have to use my brain as an mp3 player and uncontrollably lip syncing as I do that. I don't have to be bored whenever I hitch a ride at the LRT as I have something to keep my occupied. hehehe.

Oh my gosh, I have an I-POD!!! I HAVE A FREAKIN' !@#$%^&* I-POD! AHHHHHH!

The DV1 BioClips: All About DV1 Part 1

Part 1 of 4

This is the opening credits of my farewell movie to DV1.

Buhay Kolehiyo

Tomas. In the end, sa CSB na ako napadpad, whcich is really not that bad. Bakit?

It's not as easy once you're in it.

Maayos naman ang academics ko as far as I'm concerned.

The CSB Experience: May 23-December 21 (We Are Still ONE, DV1)

How time flies! The end of the second term is finally getting nearer by the day and many are looking forward to get a long deserving break this Christmas so that by January 7, we could all look forward to the impending arrival of the third and final term of the school. Unfortunately for this writer, it also means that it's going to be the end of the block section that unlike any other: DV1.

We've been through a lot for the past seven months. I could still remember when we had our first fateful meeting as a section way back in May 23, a Wednesday. We don't know each other except for those who came from the same school, particularly Tina, Jico, Gilbert, Alyssa, Czarlene who all came from CSA. Sheena came from Kuwait, Geric and Joaqui are from Iloilo, while Ferdie and company from the south. Marlon, and I came from schools administered by the same congregation of sisters but there was this time that I unknowingly took a shot of him during the DAOP Palad last February.

We were all quiet. Not a word coming from our mouths. It was only through the Fab 4: Kath, JV, Reybop, and Blue that we were able to form an initial bond as a class. Later on, we became noisy children, talking and talking, sharing thoughts, sharing pain, sharing laughter, and sharing anything less than perfect. I still remember, I became class rep all because of Ferdie. Sir Gepsych was asking then who was our class rep, Ferdie raised his hand and pointed at me, waghhh! I also remember Gilbert's grand entrance on the first day of class. He was late and it was from him that made us very lively throughout the lifespan of the block section. No doubt about it.

I also remember how Sheena popularized the word "Brinjal". I don't know what happend exactly but it was during Filip11 that Brinjal became a byword in DV1. First bonding time was during our very first Ordev event, the Frosh Night while the teacher "most disliked" was Sir Natsca (why so? Hmmm..).

There wer times that our differences had ovecome us, such when there was a heated online war of words between this writer and two other people, indiretly hitting Sheena and company. there weren't exactly any straight-at-the-face apologies but the friction is still there. I'm already keeping my mouth zipped to the two of them so as to not ignite another war except if I have to (like asking for paper or anything else). The consequence perhaps is the treatment whcih is downright downright (can't say exaclty), but I'll let things cool off for now.

Formation of groups have caused division within the section, like a sort of iron curtain but still bound of being a block. There's the group of Ferdie and friends (at the west side), the group of Hoogie and company (Northwest), the Brinjals (East), the three Gals (between hoogie and company and Ferdie and friends), and the others at the back. I've also noticed the rise, fall and formation of relationships (no need to elaborate), as well as the clash of culture of who knows and who doesn't.

It's kind of sad really that we have to part ways so soon, I mean, the block have been in existence for two/thirds of the entire school year and it'll all be disappeared like that. That's college all right, but if I have my way,  there ought to be a system to let us stay together, but that'd be impossible.

Thanks DV1 for giving me and the rest of us the best 7 motnhs we have as college students. Even if you're gone, the feeling is still there. For we believe that no other section is nothing like DV1 for DV1 IS UNLIKE ANY OTHER. Because if we are, then that is soooo fetch!

Reality and Dreams: Sleep Dancing Revolution

Hehehe, just by merely lookingat the title, you could by now guess what it's all about. Yup, it's all about DanceRevo (Dance2x Revolution).

So, about a week ago (last Friday), Kuya Evan bought a PS2 CD of the "latest" edition of DanceRevo as well as a dance pad when he was on his way home from school but took a pitstop at SM North EDSA. When he came hoem with it, he immediately had it set up and I was more than happy that we now have a DanceRevo to play with, I was also exciting because I could practice dancing as well as sweating my way to be fit (I wish to have 6-pack abs so it's a good way to burn the fat from my stomach).

Well, the rest of us siblings got hooked on it quickly before you say "Dance" and we got addicted to it, most especially little brother Jorge.

That weekend, the whole family went to SM Megamall to buy new clothes for my little brother. I took the opportunity to go to TimeZone so I could play DanceRevo plus DanceMania (where I get to dance using my hands).

Grabeh, it was so intense as I was soooo hooked on this two arcade games. I probably spent 20 pesos worth of credits (5 pesos per credit for DanceMania) dancing like a Maniac who get to have an S rating yet failed to finish a high scorer round. Not just that, with my 2 brothers, we went on stepping every step on each arrow printed on the dance pad. I can't help myself to stop yet I still went on and on.

I ended up getting bruises for hitting metal objects while playing DanceMania and getting tired legs and feet for playing too much DanceRevo. I went home worn out and energy-ridden.

That night, I thought that I coul;d sleep off the pain I feel from the injuries I inflicted for playing these two games. Yet throught the course of the whole evening, my body (as I sleep), can't help but move. What's weird is that I can't control my legs for some reason. It's as if they've become so used on DanceRevo that they have the urging (probably a signal from my brain) to move like as if I was dancing. It went on until I finally got myself to sleep with full comfort.

It's already weird that I experience weird things when I'm sleeping almost every night: sleeptalking, dreams that can foretell events and now sleep dancing. Can it get any weirder than that? Hmmmm....

Sana'y Aking Makapiling Ang Dapat Aking Minimithi (QUESTUS PARASVS SAUS I-PODIAMUS)

Yehey! This is now my 109th J-Blog....so anyway here how it goes....

I've been dying to have an I-Pod ever since my siblings began to have theirs. My ate and my little borther have their models (I-Pod Nano and Shuffle respectively) last summer of 2006 while kuya got his as a gift for his 19th birthday. Aba, daig pa ako. Naunahan pa ako ng nakakabata kong kapatid.

What I can only be proud of is that I have a CD player bought by my mom from the States, add to that a collection of soundtrack CDs and CDs with songs I burned from the Internet. Wagghhh, ang baba naman ng kaligayahan ko. It comes to show that gone are the days that CD players serve as social status symbols as they were 10 years ago. Today, I-pods are now considered, the IN THANG (ehem...).

My problem, I'm left out really for goodness' sake. GOSH!

Good thing my 17th birthday came. I wished for only two things, a new cellphone (since my third-hand Sony Ericsson T610 is already showing signs of malfunctioning), and an I-Pod  (Nano i hope). But of course, my parents could only afford to buy me one of what I want so I opted ofr the more practical one, the cellphone (which I did anyway by buying a Samsung phone whcih only cost Php9k hehehe).

I still aspire to have an I-Pod so that was what I requested from my ninang who is based in the United States. And she did (Yehey!!). Kaso, I have to wait until it arrives.

Fortunately, I was already waiting for my Ipod with full patience. A relative of ours came home with the things that my ninang bought for us and the rest of the Sibucao clan sometime this week. Among those was my long-awaited I-Pod (Yehey!).

Bad news though, I won't see my beloved one until Christmas. My mom had it kept hidden so she could give it to me by then. Well, it's so not right. My I-pod wasn't supposed to be a Christmas gift for me but as a belated birthday gift by 3 months since August. Well, the endless wait must continue on.

Oh well, that's life. Well, I suppose I can wait. It's already less than 25 days before Kris Kringle could make akyat bahay our house. So as long as I know that it's finally here, it is worth the wait.

The CSB Experience: Pre-Enrolling The Benildean Way

A while ago, I was already half done with this 108th blog but the PC went off and all I've worked for got suddenly erased so I'm rewriting this again.

Tomorrow, me and my fellow 107 students will throng the many comlabs in CSB to get ourselves "pre-enrolled" to the different courses for the third term. We do that by selecting a course (subject) with a specific time and day. Courses can be taken thrice a week (an hour a day), twice (one and a half), once (three). There are some that needed to be taken 4.5 hours a week so there times that they have to taken 4 times a week.

For us froshes, what's wise is to just follow our flowcharts whcih states what subjects we want to take, although we are given the freedom to choice any other as long as we hold on to it with full accountability.

Two weeks ago, I've al;ready enlisted my chosen subjects for next term and luckily, my soon-to-be adviser approved them all. The following are my future 3rd term subjects.

  1. Filip13 (Filipino 3)
  2. BMat2-x (Business Math)
  3. Philoma (Philosophy of Man)
  4. Petriid (PE 3-Individual Sports)
  5. Reconse (Religion of the Consideration of the Self, or something like that)
  6. Comsk2x (Communication Skills)
  7. Worlite (World Literature)

So far, I've drawn up three possible scheds, but the thing is, choosing a subject is easier said than done. There are a lot of considerations, especially those 4.5 hour subjects. Minsan alangin, minsan masyadong malayo. Even if I want to have an early MWF and a late morning to early afternoon TH, the 4.5 hour subjects make things complicated. I have the choice of taking whcih section I want to be.

For example, for my TH 1:00-2:30 PM class, I can choose my Worlite class either at section Dv1 at the Taft campus, and on another one at Angelo King International Center in Estrada cor. Arellano. I can simply walk my way there after lunch on Tuesday and run after a previous class has ended all the way from Taft on Thursday for one way, the other way si to have one subject in the morning with a 4 hour gap before 1:00 Pm and another with a 2 hour gap before 1.

My, college is getting complicated as the months passes by. I'm not sure I cant make it.  Although I shoulnd't really worry since the third term contains the last 3 months of the school as well as the last three months that us freshmen will get to take General Subjects. By next year probably, we may be able to take subjects related to our respective degree programs so I do hope that I would still be alive till then.

   GOOD LUCK and ANIMO BENILDE!

One Love (Full English Version)

Higher than the sky above you
cleared and blue
brighter than the rays of sunshine
warmer than what you feel
more than all the wonders you see
its the most wonderful thing...

Brighter than the living colors
of flowers you see
sweeter than the touch of water
flowing from the mountain spring
more than all the wonders you see
its the most wonderful thing

One love...
I love you so...
Love is the beautiful one...
I love you so...
Love is the beautiful one...
All we need is love...
Real LOve...

Wonderland sides of greenfields
amazingly see
watch the colors of the rainbow
its a miracle you see
more than all the wonders can be
but there's more than that...

One love...
I love you so...
Love is the beautiful one...
I love you so...
Love is the beautiful one...
All we need is love...
Real LOve...

Greater than what you could feel
more than what you'd ever dream
this is better than your everything...

One love...
I love you so...
Love is the beautiful one...
I love you so...
Love is the beautiful one...

Blog, Blog, Blog, It's All About J-Blogs! (Inspired by Gino Dela Paz's SUPREME article)

An hour ago (around 9 in the evening), I was reading the Philippine Star after my mom bought it when she left the house earlier that morning. I was so relieved since my day is incomplete without my dose of PhilStar. So I was turning page by page and ended up reading this article from my fave lifestyle writer, Paulo Azcarazen which is, and always still about the glory that is old Manila. But I'll tell you more about that later. Sooner after, I was flipping at the SUPREME section of the Star and find myself reading (for the second time) a feature story written by Gino Dela Paz.

It's been a week since I actually read an article of his, for which his take on tried-and-tested yet "terribly awful" formats used on certain Philippine program genres really caught my eye. This time, his latest eye-catching piece is all about the matter of blogging. To make the long story short, he's been a blogger himself since 2002 and only stopped a year ago, not out of boredom but for "property-intellectual rights" reasons as well as trying to balance being a blogger who post 2-3 entries a day and being a writer for a respectable paper such as the Philippine Star.

Sa totoo lang, I kind of agree with him. Sometimes, when you start something new, it initially gets to you and before you know, it never stops until the time comes that the steam coming out of doing it begins to dwindle out of your interest. Gino may have lost interest when blogging became a kinda of a trend for which the common tao would show their stuff much the same way that they did to other social networking communities like Friendster, MySpace, Youtube, and recently Facebook.

Since 2001, I've been in the online social networking thing and right now, I'm active at several community forums as well as a few social network sites.

I still remember how I got hooked over blogging. It was last March and me and my batch of graduating hopefuls are about to gain our freedom after 4 years of torment and joy under the ruling dictatorship. My friend Dianne indirectly introduced me to Multiply when she posted a blog entry and had the link posted on YM. I wanna comment on her post but I have to register and that was how it al began. Now, I've made around 107 published and unpublished posts. Not sure though when I would stop.

It's always weird on how I make such blog posts, including the ridiculous titles for them. If you wanna know my secret on making a "J-Blog", here's how:

  1. There must be something, or someone that would spark an interest for you to write about. It can be a person, a place, a thing, or even an unfortunate event happened to you. (For example, whenever I take the jeep ride home to Valenzuela from Monumento, Caloocan City, I have to bear the ever annoying filibustering of Mamang Barker who does nothing but hit on us commuters while at the same time, having a smoke)
  2. Your mind would suddenly undergo brainstorming the moment it caught the attention of such. You would mentally compose your proposed blog post. Skip to the actual writing, you would print out through you fingers your "mental draft" over the matter.
  3. Here's the most difficult, having to think a very eye-raising title to your blog. It has to reflect the content of your blog so that your readers would raise interest on reading it, if ever it tickles their fancy. It doesn't have to be overly ridiculous or boringly simple, but just right. (Remember the controversial "La Muda Chillon" post? The entry's title caught the attention of more than 25 bloggers passing by, and before you know it, the blog ended up with having around 500 views in total).
  4. Write it like you've never write before. From the start, you really need have an idea of what you're suppose to write from the very start. Without it, you'll end up getting tired of writing something not worth your time nor the electricity bill Meralco would charge to your parents. Take it from me, the reason, I had more than 100 posts (including still unfinished and unpublished ones) is that I know what I'm writing about and once I do, it's only a breeze. The fun part is that I get to finish one blog for an average of 2 hours (long posts usually) and 1 hour at least (for shorter ones), thanks to my fast typing fingers and my brain-fixed ability to unknowingly recognize keys from the keyboard without looking or not looking at the monitor while writing with minimal errors. That's how it feels to be IN THE ZONE.

So far, I have a lot of things that I wanna write and yet I can't write them all because not all the time kailangan ko isulat ang lahat ng mga hinagpis ko nor anything that crosses my mind unless I have to (like this one). Not really sure when I would actually stop blogging since I'm still hooked to it much. Other than that, I don't really have the kind of pressure that Gino dela Paz may have trying to balance being a PhilStar writer an a blogger. I'm not a professional writer but I love to write since it serves as my comfort zone, an alter ego, a friend. Gino's main reason for it is that blogging had become too mainstream but it became mainstream because of people like him in the first place, plus he's concerned about identity theft or something.

I'm not totally close from the last thing that I've mention but if you feel your heart is with this, then go pursue it. No one could stop us from doing what we wanna do except for ourselves so let them be. To close this conversation, I just hope this 108th blog would become a big inspiration to everyone.

Buhay Kolehiyo: J-Tips on What To Wear, What To Bring, What to do on rainy and cool days

Kaya, why not buy "MANBRELLAS"?
  9. Kung pinapayagan kayong umalis ng school during C-Break, maghang-out muna sa condo ng klasmeyt para magpalipas ng oras doon.

The CSB Experience: The Rock Sheik and the Rock Chic (The Halloween Special)

Nung umaga bago pa man nagsimula ang klase, naidlap ko sina Hoogie, Marlon at Issi sa may canteen a.k.a. CAF. Looks like they have already feel the Halloween spirit. Hoogie in a mala-Matrix outift, Marlon with a glowing red horn na head band. And Issi?...First guess is Dr. Seuss but all she can say is...."Guess again...".

Later that afternoon, I chanced upon one of the many DV students I usually see during 10-minute intervals. She's all wearing gothic black with black wings stuck at her back. She wore that the whole day, I guess so medyo weird out lang ako.

Ang nakakatawa lang talaga when Ferdie and Niko made a reason why role-playing is fun. I can't really tell you guys exactly the details but if you want, you can check out Mandz's take on those two guyz to see why. Right now, I'm still laughing just thinking about it, lalo na nung isang beses na tumili si Niko na parang "aaaaaghhh!" and Ferdie was like "YOU KILLED MY DOGGIE!!!". Hehehehehehehe...!

Hoogie was having a Halloween party at their place, so that pretty explains the Keannu Reeves outfit (if its not the matrix, maybe UNERTAKER?). Well, I couldn't really say how I should describe him so I said, "Si hoogie parang Rock Sheik". Mikee corrected me for it is supposed to be "Rock Chic".

So weird....

Reality and Dreams: Three Dreams in One Blog

Dream #1-Billy Crawford Tried to Shoot My Sister a.k.a Billy Crawford Killed Kuya
Hehehe, This is not really one that I have dreamt about but that of my Ate. That was last Sunday, October the 21st. She just woke up when the rest of us Habitan siblings are eating champorado for breakfast. Mom's away in Korea and my dad is the one looking after us.

Looking disoriented as she goes downstairs to have a piece of that camporado, she quickly remembered what she wanna say to us and here it goes:

She had a dream last night that she and Kuya Evan was riding in a van. Ate's at the back while Kuya was at the passenger seat at front. There was a mamang driver fetching them to wherever they were headed to. All of a sudden, police vehicles were at guarding at that section of the road that the van was heading to and there was this very unfamiliar vehicle with an oh-so familiar face driving it, Billy Crawford, as in the very Billy Joe Crawford. Well, what do you expect? Simon Cowell?

Back to the story, the police were blocking that side of the road and the two older siblings were caught in the crossfire. The police moved back but Billy Crawford came nearing to the van where Ate and Kuya were. Even if there were back-up guarding the van's behind, they can't get close to Billy as he is too near the ate and the kuya.

He brought out a gun and aimed it towards the front view window. Ate was so scared she told Kuya and the driver to hide. But it was too late, Billy came in front and shoot the brains out of Kuya and the dirver, dead! Now, the already terrified Ate has more reason to be terrified-Billy aimed the gun at her and as he pulled the trigger of the gun, she screamed and woke back to reality.

Wow, ha...she nearly got starstrucked literally. Hehehe. We couldn't stop but laugh as how she told us her dream. There was not an explanantion why Billy went mad but it's all over...for now...

Dream #2-I Dream of The Breed a.k.a. How The Breed Came To Be

Now this time, this now my dream. It was a Tuesday early moring (Otc. 23), and I had this very strange dream about deadly flesh-eating mad dogs.

My dream was set in an island of nowhere and the inhabitants were deadly flesh-eating mad dogs. I didn't see myself in my dream but I did witness on how the Breed came to be.

It turnes out, they cute, fuzzy, man-friendly and harmless dogs trapped in the woods. They were of different varitey but they all moved as a herd. The reason they became the breed was that, they somehow crossed upon a large container filled with spaghetti sauce. The smell of the sauce was very inviting that it all attracted the herd and they all went for the kill-they ate the sauce.

It turns out that the sauce has long been expired. I was not sure how was it expired, when has it been expired and how in nowhere did a container filed with rotten spaghetti sauce would end up in the iddle of the woods in the iddle of an unknown island in the iddle of the ocean?

Suddenly, the dogs began to change in reactioon to the sauce. Finding out that it tasted awfully bad, they transformed into the vicious flesh-eating mad dogs we see on The Breed.

Now, quite a strike of coincidence, I began to feel a sense of dejavu when I was flipping the channels on our TV around midnight several days later (October 28 I presume).  Then I came across Star Movies and was surprised that their feature movie at the time was, nothing else but The Breed. weird isn't it? Being a very thrilling movie, it didn't really have a good ending, but in a way it is....for the dogs.

Dream #3-I  Suddenly I Thought Of You Today and Everything that You Are

Now, this is now dream really but a dejavu moment on one of my past dreams suddenly remembered. IIt was only last Sunday, the 28th, that I wa using the PC. I was working on a special project. Currently, I was using the Paint Program to draw potraits of people. I was only in the middle of  making  my first one when suddenly a strange feeling of familiarism  suddenly came over me.  It is as if, I  was doing  a  computer-generated potrait before.  Then came a thought of one of my past dreams  (you could say it is a vision but  surely it's not the kind of vision  that Phoebe  experience nor Cordelia's on TV),  a  dream about me doing the same exact activity that I was currently doing.

So far, I'm already done with my portraits but  they are yet to be published anytime soon .

-----------
It  is really mind-boggling that you get to reexperience your dreams through visions and that dejavu sense. Not only is it quite disturbing but  the kind of dreams  that I am having is sort of telling me about future events that will come  sooner or later than I would think. This phenomenon has been going to me since I was  6 years old and I do hope there would be an explanation  to it, better less than what my dreams can tell when.

Walkout

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Drama
This is a telesine made by HBO Films for which it is based on a true story about the March 1968 Chicano (Mexican American) student movement or now historically known as the "East L.A. Walkouts".

The movie started when many of the Chicanos, who are longtime residents of Eastern Los Angeles since the 18th century, demanded equal treatment on the educational field. The problem lies that the schools in East LA are unable to get access to goverment services even if they are under one unified city school district.

Many view this as a form of racial discrimination for the schools on wealthy and white-populated West LA were the ones with such access. It took one Half-Filipina Chicana Paula Crisostomo (played by Alex Vega), to stage a walkout which became the start of the East LA Walkouts. Not only was at Lincoln High School, where Paula attends, staged such action but so did the other schools in the east.

What I really like about this mvie that even if you didn't watched the movie from the start, you get to know the main plot immediately soon after you get to see kids walking out of their schools and shouting "CHICANO!" and "VIVA LA RAZA!".

Unlike other 1960s-based movies, you don't get the feeling that its too retro, but at the same time you do. Why? Maybe because, beyond all that retro hair, clothing, music and everything, we get to see the experience ourselves as if it's happening right at present. I did, I thought it was set sometime in the present, it was only later when I saw Paula's friends with long late 60s hair and everything.

Other than the emorional sympathy that you may feel as you watch many students running for their lives before being caught up by the police and get beaten by batons, you can see how Paula aspires to become successful in her life, reaching what her father could not do when he was her daughter's age.

Other than that, her mom is realy the encouraging and driving force for her daughter to accomplish such feat.

What I really don't like was how obvious racism and treason exist in the government and in the movement respectively. Turned out that Paula's love interest was in cahoots with the higher authorities and had many of the Chicano youth movement's leaders arrested. Good thing that Paula didn't gave in, especially that her papi finally gave her very supporting words. She, with hundred or maybe even thousand of people protesting in front of the LAPD precinct, pointed out to the traitor that no one can stop them for realizing the goal, and they will never bow down even if it'll took a lot of batons to down them all.

Too bad, I didn't finish the movie but like I said before, if you don't watched the movie at the start, you'll known what was going on. The same even if you don't watched it till the end, you'll know by now what will be the outcome of it.

The movie was well-directed, balancing the different subplots (family, boyfriend, in-group conflict) with the main movie plot. Great acting to the actors and successfully convincing to anyone who watched this movie!

Buhay Kolehiyo: A Post from Soompi.com

from the College thread section, I saw this one posted by a forumer, Enjoy!

"i stopped reading midway. but from the sound of it, you guys are taking each other way too seriously. it's ok to be nice at first to get to know people. but what i found out was being an bubble gum was ok too.

my roomate was so relaxed that he was just chilling in his boxers when i got in the room. then i asked him to help me set up the wireless network, which he called "pinkpanties". at this point, i was beyond weirded out. i hope he wasn't a crazy pervert or anything like that. so fast forward it to 3 weeks.

i was trying to be as nice as i could so we could get along and there would be no fights. but he kept saying random things to try to piss me off. so i would just sit there and smile/laugh, until one day i was like ok let me try talking back instead. after that we both knew how to joke around with each other. it was like natural for us to say, f-you, and all those obscene words.

we found out how similar we were in personality by realizing we don't care what other people think about us. that we are confident enough to hold our own and even if we didnt have friends in the building, it wouldn't matter to us. and even though i have a group to chill with, i still would rather keep my roomate just so we can keep eachother on our toes. it's fun to get in someones face as long as you both know how to joke around with it.

stop taking life so seriously, before you know it, we're gone. do something crazy. do something that no one would expect. be spontaneous. people will think you're crazy, but if you know how to amuse yourself, you will amuse others.

hope everything goes well with you're group!"

We Are One, DV1 Walang Katulad! (Parang slogan ng beer ah!?)

The Day I Found Out The Truth About Puppets

Noon pa man, fan na ako ng mga shows na puppets. Una sa listahan ko siyenmpre ay ang Sesame Street, tapos Batibot, then Awit Titik Bilang At Iba Pa (ATBP), pati na rin iyung children's show sa PBS Kids noon na Cailou nung nasa States pa ako. Kaso, akala ko noon na buhay sila. Kahit na alam ko na puppets weren't real, I had to know paano sila nagagalaw, paano sila nagkakaroon ng buhay. And that was how I found out the bitter truth.

I think I was around 8 or 9 years old then habang si Bernice maycecelebrate ng 6th birthday niya. Nalala ko pa rin noon na medyo tahimik siya, as compared sa ate niya na si Ate Bea (na nasa La Salle ngayon by the way).

Now, there was going to have a puppet show kaya happy ako at nang mga bata na nasa party. Ang theme ng show ay Power Puff Girls (yah, avid viewer ako ng show na iyon kasi wala namang magandang panoorin nung araw 'no!). Ngayon, some people placed a big black box sa may isang part ng bahay kung saan gaganapin iyung puppet show. Other than it is big and black, may butas siya na parisukat, at ang gilid ay kinokoberan ng isang mahaba black cloth.

Later, naging curious ak on what wa beneath that box ot what ity is insiade. I took a peek and saw na may bukasan siya sa likod. Now, kasama ko ang mga pinsan ko, we went to see what on there. And voila! The Truth!!: Three guys with Powerpuff Puppets worn on their hands! They saw us and told us to get out! Ngeee... Nakakatakot iyon. And that's how I leanred the truth about puppets.

Although alam ko naman na puppets are handled by real people (especially nung nanonood ako ng Marco dati), it was only that I saw it for myself. Waghh!

LRT Tales: Kasama, Kasali, Kasabay, Kasalo

One time nung Wednesday, kasabay ko sina Russel.

Tumingin ako mabuti at sila pala iyon. hehehe. Nagpahintay pa nga sila nung nasa may Ever aako pagkababa mula Monumento. hehehehe
