My Thesis, Forever It Will No Longer Handed Back To Me

Last March 30th, it was the final final day of school. It was treated in two ways by two groups of students respecitvely: 1) it is celbrated as a temporary freedom given to undergrads so that they will have the grand time of their lives not obliged to follow the directives of the school for only at least two months, and 2) the day that the graduates will final end their more than 4 years to more than a decade facing the harsh realities of the socio-political utopia that is Saint James Academy.

Well, it was also the day where we can get our grad pics, with our final report card ( i never get to read it whole since i gave it to the Admissions of CSB a day later), and the well-sought after alumni cards (plus my unexpected Conduct Award), and of course my most awaited items, my thesis and my final copy of the VOX: the voice with a sense of vision and mission.

ever since my sister brought home the first vox copy when she was still a student there 8 years ago (that time I was still studying at SMMC in valenzuela), i have long dreamt of becoming one of the elite squad of staffwriters and cartoonists and editors that many Jamers had long admired. Although i failed  to become one for out of the 2 times i tried out, it was a privilege for me to become a contributing writer for them. I wrote this article about my experience in my first TKD tourney but one of the editors failed to have it on print so she promised me that it will be read by the public eyes of the student body on its year-ender issue.

three months later, after the waiting and the praying, i finally got to see my article printed on the 3 to the last page of the last VOX issue of the year. Before i got a copy, Shielo shared to me (as Filipino-language editor and all), my work was worth one whole page! wow! I'm worth a page, that's so awesome! yup, that was but that is not all! Miss Flores told me she was impressed with my work that she gave me a cmplimentary copy for my parents and another one for my sister! wow, how cool was that?

Speaking of Miss Flores, i was looking for her so that i can ask her if i can have my thesis back. Angelito had already hold back the release of our theses a couple of times or so and there no next tiome for that. she told me to wait, and when the time came, i went inside the RDC, ask her if i can get it. She asked me what was the clor code of my section, i said pink but i told her that mine was "Blue". Miss Joan was like "Oh! Jaime" and i was like "okay, I'll look for it".

evenetually, i remembered it was not blue but, of course the most obvious color of all, GREEN! i was surpirsed to see that the grade that Miss Flores gave to me was *drumroll*......................................................................................................................................................................

90%
90%
90%

90%

Yahoo!

I was surprise so I was like "Oh, What the How!? A NINETY?!".
i was reayd to take it away but Miss Joan stopped and toldf me that since it got a ninety, it will included in the leauge of past theses that will be displayed in the library. WOW, what a great honor for me. After all the sleepless nihts and the sleepless nights that my mom took to help me edit my works, luck finally rained down on me.

My thesis is now the third one made by a Habitan to receice a 90+ grade and wasnever returned to its owner. i just hope that my bunso will do the same to his thesis 2 years after.

Hmmm, I wonder if Jorge's thesis will get a 90% as well.

Nambabalik ba ng thesis si Mr. Puig?
