The CSB Experience 2: Comparing the Three Buildings

I just thought of making comparisons between the three buildings of CSB. Fortunately I was able to have at least one class in AKIC, which is a pre-dominantly SHRIM building, back last term and I have several ones in SDA as well as the Main campuses. It's because it's really funny to think that a lot of students would like to prefer one building than the other and vice-versa because of what they didn't like about this certain building that they preferred one the more. Hehehe. By the way, many of the following are based from what people around me are saying about the three buildings, not just from merely my point of view.

Cafeteria

1. Compare
-All have snackbars
-All of their food are expensive
-All are certified tambayans
-Expensive

2. Contrast
Main:
(Positive) Two floored Caf, PaoTsin, Koi, Kitchen Handlers, All Around, etc., For All
(Negative) Cramped, small, Crowded at noon, Dim

AKIC:
(Positive) Wider than Main's, one floor only, wider selection of food under one stall, Snack bar found at every floor(? Paki-confirm kasi sa 8th floor pa lang ang napupuntahan ko), Brighter, Restrooms more accesible, many delilious snacks (daw) are made by Upperclass Shrim people, Snack bar=mini-resto complete with dining table (at least one) and everything.
(Negative) Just one: Hiwalay ang bayad sa kanin (The lady in the Caf said)

SDA:
(Positive) One whole block, wider than Akics, All white, no artificial lighting required at daytime, comfortable plastic chairs and tables, built-in bookstore, glass windows, lies next to Student lounge room and fixed Restrooms.
(Negative) Too few stalls for a large canteen like SDA's.

Elevators

1.Compare
-SDA and AKIC elevators don't experience time delays
-SDA and AKIC elevators don't screech when it is over the 15-person capacity
-SDA and AKIC elevators both are designed for actual 15 people
-SDA and AKIC elevators both experience stop thingies every once in a while

2. Contrast
-Main elevators don't experience the last one mentioned
-SDA elevators talk
-SDA elevators don't mention on what floor they are from the Mezzanine Floor up.
-AKIC elevators have the tendency to skip a selected floor.
-Long lines is a more of a nightmare in SDA than in AKIC

Stairs

1. Compare
-SDA and AKIC staircases are tiringly long.
-All three staircases are used for emergency cases (late classes, broken elevators, long lines, etc.)

2. Contrast
-Main has at least four accesible stairways
-SDA has a very unsafe-looking emergency starcase
-AKIC's more comfortable with a window overlooking the city to lessen the agony of climbing stairs with pearly white walls and tiles and is completely lighted until the floors up during daytime.

Classrooms (Contrasts)
-Main's classrooms are unseasonable cooler.
-AKIC's classrooms have a well-maintained aircon system.
-SDA's classrooms have less aircons inside but it is well-ventilated thus naturally cooler.
-Main's classrooms differs depending on which hall it is in.
-AKIC's classrooms all look the same with matching windows overlooking the city.
-SDA's classrooms are more ergonomic and eco-friendly.
-SDA's arm-chairs are possibly the worst of its kind (broken to almost unused).

Hallways
-Main's hallways may get you lost but quick adjustment is possible
-AKIC's hallways usually follow an all-similar design or pattern of sorts so it's very linear (one way).
-SDA's hallways can easily get you lost, and it'll be a while for one to adjust the complex hallways of the 14-story building which differs in each floor.
-Main's Benilde Hall and AKIC's contain lockers...SDA doesn't
-AKIC doesn't have accesible drinking fountains in the 8th floor.

DO
(Positive)
-All three have foot sensors
(Negative)
-Main ahve four security checkpoints while SDA and AKIC have one (in AKIC's case, it's security checkpoint for students and teachers)

Buildings
-Main is the heart of the Benildean community
-AKIC is SHRIM territory
-SDA? Need to ask?
-Hassle travel
-AKIC has cool facilities from Cafe Manille to the Solomon Guest House plus kitchen labs and everything.
-SDA has a theater/dance hall/exhibition hall, Arts and Design-related rooms and facilities, etc.

LRC
-Main has two LRCs and both are tambayans of most students to cool off.
-AKIC's LRC recently moved to a new better and wider room with a more high-tech and super sharp motion-sensored door.
-SDA doesn't have an LRC....yet

Demographics
-Main's a mixture of all things Benildean
-AKIC is dominated by uniform-clad people bound to obey practices of professionalism as early as the first year.
-SDA's contains diversity of sometimes complicated and often exaggerated pictures of humanity brought by greater liberty exercised by the students.
