Over the Green Fields: POPS goes the weasel

Wow, every time I go to La Salle, I'd see people scattered on campus,, complete with booths lining up near their greenish football field ranging from the junior marketing org booth to the blood donation sign up booth.

This time, it wasn't any different from the previous visit I made there. Probably because of some concert that would commence the next day thus the festivities galore all week.

The reason though why I paid a visit to DLSU this time was because I wanted to inquire about joining one of DLSU's orgs (whose doors are open to CSB students). I was supposed to do this thing long ago but certain factors prevented me on going there in the first place. First of which is the effin' "manong mukhang aktibista" manning the visitor's booth on the South Gate.

The org in question is the DLSU Pops Orchestra which, I heard, accepts students from the College of Saint Benilde. Those who get in receives the same kind of perks and privileges given to regular students.

I went to CAO, the Cultural Arts Office (the DLSU equivalent of CSB's OCA), to ask when will Pops begin its recruitment period. The secretary manning the CAO said that I have to wait until next term so that I could sign myself up for Pops.

A bummer, I left DLSU with high hopes that I could finally become a member of the orchestra and continue on with my violin training.

Yey!
