Sa ngayon, may binabasa akong autobiography about Victoria Adams-Beckham (a.k.a. Posh Spice of the Spice Girls) and her husband, David Beckham (former Manchester United star player). The book is titled "Posh and Becks" which I bought a week ago in Fully-Booked.
It happened to me a couple of times in high school, one time nung 2nd year and the other time nung 3rd year. It also happened sometime last year when i was starting out in college. One scenario I remember was when I came home around 5:30 in the afternoon from school, I didn't changed my clothes when i entered my room. Just saw the bed, laid myself on it, closed my eyes then little did I knew I fell asleep, only to wake up the next day!
Ahh...
Nostalgic As It May Seems
Last night I was on my way home from Mandaluyong. I was about to ride a bus outside MRT North Avenue Station when I was able to catch up listening to this show on radio called, "The Flow", on my portable radio.
I've heard about this show a couple or so times especialy whenever it's being promoted on its home station, 103 1/2 Max FM. It's an all hip-hop-and-RnB show, genres that I seldom enjoy listening to for the past few years (Maybe because a lot of RnB artists are starting to sound all alike and Hip Hop nowadays is becoming more commercialized that its purpose of being is no longer to break the social spectrum).
What just made me try listening to this is that I wanna know what makes this show interesting. More interesting though is how its host, HTown (of Power 108 and Blazing 105.9 fame), educates its listeners about the genre with interesting facts, trivia, bits of info about hiphop culture and old-school stuff dating back to the 90's.
Speaking of the 90's, the first hour of the show played nothing but music from 10 years ago. A lot of the songs played were all familiar to me, some that I even grew up listening to. Unlike today, hiphop back in the day was all-good. Less of those themes about sex, drugs, and violence (which hiphop artists are being notoriously branded) and more about social change, life in the streets, things that matters most, and things that everyone can all relate to. I was able to request a song from Bone Thugz 'n' Harmony, and HTown was able to play one (when he can't find the particular song I was requesting for, which is okay for me).
They may be the "pop" music ("popular") that definitely shaped my first ten years of life. It's quite disappointing that there's too few of good-sounding artists today that are driven by the purpose of showing the reality of life, whose songs that really reflect that very soul of the community and of society as whole.
Glad to know that some artists from the 90's are still pretty much active up to this time, like Will Smith who matured into a fine actor (but is still active as a rapper) as well as Mark "Marky Mark" Wahlberg (who completely turned back on his 'hip-hopper' past to become one of the most bankable actors of today), and MC Hammer (who continues to discover outstanding new hiphop talents, and recently gave praise to Filipino hiphop dancing group, All-Stars).
Try listening to "The Flow" every 6:00-9:00 PM Saturdays on 103.5 Max FM at masisiyahan kayo sa mapapakinggan ninyo!

Jaime and the Greenhills Adventure
My phone got exposed to water so I need to have it fixed. The Samsung service center in Robinson's Place Ermita suggested that I got to their main office in Ortigas Ave., Greenhills in order to have my phone fixed. Well, I know Ortigas but I do certainly don't know where specifically in Greenhills.
I've been to Greenhills, San Juan too few times. But never did I imagined on going there on my lonesome self. Good thing though that I don't have class anymore on Saturdays for the time being, a good opportunity to fulfill a liability I need to meet.
I left home at around 2, arrived in Monumento and rode a bus from there at around quarter to 3, arrived to MRT North Ave. Station at 3, was able to ride a train around 3:30 after a long line of commuters trying to buy tickets, and finally arrived in Ortigas station on past 3:30.
From there I walked towards EDSA Shrine, skipping some parts, crossed EDSA and Ortigas and rode a jeepney en route to Greenhills Shopping Center passing La Salle Greenhills. From there, I went inside then eventually left around 4, crossed Ortigas again by way of a overpass. I finally saw the building I was looking for, Bonaventure Bldg.
Once there, I went insde, saw the Samsung center on my left. Took a cue card and watched Spider-Man 3 while waiting for my turn. Once called, I went to Counter 1, told the Samsung lady about my phone's condition. She took it away from me, telling me that they'll need around 2-3-5 weeks to fix it.
I left Bonaventure, rode a jeepney back to Robinson's Galleria, walked again, ate merienda at McDonalds near Sapphire Road, left, walked back to Ortigas Station and rode a train.
By 6, I arrived at North Avenue, rode a bus en route to Malanday, stopped in Monumento by around 6:15, crossed MacArthur Highway, rode a jeep en route to Polo, Valenzuela.
Finally by 7pm, i, being exhausted with all the walking and stuff, got home, safe and sound,
THE END!

Seeing is Believing
I got to do this fast before finals ehehehe.
May suot siyang Mapua PE t-shirt.
WAKAS
Rumors
Honestly, I really haven't heard of Gossip Girl until sometime around May when I was able to catch a glimpse of the hit CW series on ETC on SBN. What I didn't know that by that time, that shows was already a pop culture phenomenone despite having low season ratings (it proves that ratings doesn't reflect the true quality of a good television show). Its main theme is clear, a rumor and a gossip can make or break a person....
Buddies
A few hours ago, I went to the gym near my place. I felt the need to unwind all the stress that accumulated in my body earlier at school (Go figure...). Quarter to 7 in the evening, I saw a very familiar place who entered the premises for the sole purpose of working out too. Turns out, he was an old schoolmate of mine, a batchmate to be precise.
A month ago, I was able to find a suitable time for me to go to the gym in the form of my Monday and Friday schedules that are so flexible, letting me out in 4:40 and getting home around 6. I also don't have classes in the mornings on those days but I usually take advantage of those hours for doing late assignments, reports and the like.
That time, I was surprised to see my batchmate there also working out. He saw me when I saw him and we said our hellos to each other. I asked how long he's been doing this. He said he's been doing this for a few months now. Obviously, I could definitely see the changes in his body. Back then, he's a really thin tall guy, but now his arms are getting more muscle mass.
Well in my case, I don't have the same body type as him. Blame genetics for what I am now. I've been into this for three years now but on an on-and-of basis given that during those three years, I was busy with extra-curricular activties. But at least, from a overweight looking figure of 160 lbs. three years ago, I slimmed down to a maintainable 140lbs. Although it doesn't really show since I tend to wear loose fitting clothes that used to be size XL. Now, I'm an X and I get mostly fitting clothes.
My eating also doesn't complement my physical well-being because I eat like a vacuum cleaner, leaving nothing but clean plates. Thank goodness I have a fast-acting metabolism which may explain about me not getting fat despite my food-intake and habits.
Back to now, we seldom speak unless we do speak. Since I started earlier, I was ahead so there's never an opportunity to work out with him. I see him very busy with his weight lifting so talking to him might disturb him.
Later just past 8pm, I decided to call it quits and was about to cool myself down. Since I was just about to pass him by, I waved hi which started a very light conversation. In the process, he taught me how to use poles for stretching the arms which I usually don't do since I prefer to do calisthenics which I got used to do since my TKD days.
He also decided to call it quits so he went to where I was heading at to change clothes. When he entered, he saw me wearing my DLS-CSB ID strap/lace (which attaches my cellphone). He asked where I bought it, and I said it was from my school. What was awkward was this, he asked how much ("90") then later ask me if I could buy him one....WHAT?!
I asked him back, trying to know why he (an USTe boy) wanna have a DLS-CSB ID strap even though he's not from DLS-CSB. Well, he said that he just like having one. He then said he'll buy an USTe strap for me if I buy what he was asking for so that he won't have to pay me back through pesos.
Despite the awkwardness the conversation is heading to, it was great to know that at the very least, I have a friend, whom I personlly knew, who go at he gym in my place. Yes, I do know some people there but it's different if you and a friend who're into the same interest, whihc further encourages you to pursue that interest.

The CSB Experience 2: When You Know That He's/She's A...
Grabe, I can't really seem to gte enough of this. So it's really a complete and usually unspeakable fact that your life in CSB is not complete without being classmates/friends/some guy you would often pass along with/etc with someone who has this certain occupations that are the norms in "well-known" schools like Ateneo, La Salle, UP, etc.
Be it an actress, host, radio personality, model, mixer/DJ, newspaper columnist, reality star, singer, NCAA/UAAP star, photographer (whose works get often published in periodicals), you name it, they are all there!
I won't tell who they are but some of you guys may have an idea who I am referring to:
- A model who is into this thing that I used to do but I eventually had it abandoned.
- A guy who is into this thing which is every weekender's top choice of music every Saturday night.
- A model who I recently discovered that he is one after I saw a picture of the aforementioned in Fridays edition of Manila Standard Today (Aug.22). (Oralcom)
- An actress who always play evil third party, be it an afternoon soap or a primetime one. (Basicom)
- An actress who is currently inactive at the time being but used to be a popular chld actress who starred in films alongside such comedy icons like Dolphy, Palito, and Redford White. (Philien)
- An actor who first came to fame in a youth-oriented show (be it a drama or a sitcom) whom I recently found out is like any typical teenager who likes to hang out.
- An actress who is currently inactive but is well-known for being a possessed human in a horror movie.
- A photographer/senpai for me (girl edition) who had her works published by a well-known periodical.
- A recently-eliminated reality star who is known for her rendition of Kris Aquino by hosting "Kill or No Kill". (Filip13)
- A group of fearsome beasts who excel in the martial art of sharp words.

The CSB Experience 2: To AKIC Once Again
It's been a really, really longtime since I last sat foot on the Angelo King International Center of CSB. So it felt like a heartfelt reunion when something happened that prompted me to go to this building in Arellano cor. Estrada.
I forgot to submit this certain requirement to my professor because I forgot to have it printed on time for our 2nd to the last meeting for the term. Fortunately, she still had one more class where I could still have it submitted. What's really cool is that her last class for that day is in Rm. i809 in AKIC so I was like "Cool, I get to go AKIC once more, woohoo!">
I expected that something new would surprise me the moment I enter AKIC. I know for one that they had the Weights Room at the 3rd Floor Carpark relocated to the athlete's hall in nearby Pasay (or so it says in the brochure) recently, and they had just relocated the AKIC LRC to a larger room at the 12th floor plus their newly renovated kitchen labs between the 5th and 8th floors. Along the way, I bumped unto an old friend of mine from one of my past classes, still donning his corporate blue polo complete with a tie and a coat.
The surprise came when I went inside the "ghostly" elevator and pressed the '8' button there. The moment it stopped itself on the 8th floor, I exited and much to my surprise, I saw a totally new 8th floor. The comlabs looked new with matching windows and stuff. They had the walls painted from white to orange and the floor is now made out of furnished wood. The downside of it all is that the floor is still under renovation so all the classes there were moved to another floor.
That was when I decided to go upstairs to the 9th floor. Once there. I inquired a fellow student about the recent room changes. She recommened that I should either look for my professors through the door windows of each of the more than ten rooms or go to the 10th floor to render the services of the D.O.
I did the former, and from i809, I found my prof somwhere in room i904 or something. Afterwards, I left AKIC and walk my way back to Main along the brightly lighted Estrada.
I really miss god 'ol AKIC, anda chance for having another class there was simply no longer reachable. However, all the memories I had while having my classes there would, and I quote, "forever be embedded in our hearts and minds".
Amen to that!
The CSB Experience 2: H16 Filip13, The Aftermath

En Route to glorietta, Help for those who know Makati!
I'm meeting a friend of mine in G4 a few days from now and I'm planning to go to Glorietta by way of riding a jeep.
I ride a jeep or bus going there? and where in ayala ako bababa? (konyong english naman 'to! I need that Balagtascillin from Mandy)

Hacker Much
Grabeh, alam niyo, you won't believe what made my day today. I just could not believe it that it actually happened...
Okay, here it is: You see I'm a regular user of Pinoyexchange.com and am currently active in threads that are of my interests, be it about a particular TV show, a radio station, or techie stuffs.
Recently, one the threads there where I am active was closed down due to profanity and trolling in relationship with the recent reformat of this certain radio station. Afterwards, several tribute threads were established in dedication to that station (and those rejoicing for the return of its former brand/format). However, the 'trolls' who were responsible for closing the main thread also moved to these threads to bash listeners as well as attack them on a personal level. I was one of those victimized.
Just this afternoon, I was reading this post of a poster who is connected to the radio station. I merely stated my opinion without any need to hurt someone. Suddenly, a poster quoted my statement and described me as a "sipsip listener" as well as a "moron" who completely don't have any idea about how radio works.
Although the latter is true since I am merely a listener (but not 'sipsip'), what really threw me off is that this poster further retaliated by doing something I wouldn't expect: He posted my private information, about my education background which I wrote on my Facebook Profile!
Heck, my profile in Facebook is only accesible to strictly my friends although my name can be searched in the facebook database but never will they get to see AND READ my profile unless they ARE my approved contacts.
I sent a complaint to the moderator/admin for immediate action, so far I was successful in having that post of his deleted but his ad hominem attacks on me continues. But I was not the only one being attacked, even users who are mere listeners of the station are also being targeted in such hate campaigns.
I really just don't get why they have to do this. Is radio politics really that bad (considering Pex is a very influential public domain that even known celebrities and industry players take part with the discussions)? For the mean-time I'll be lying low on that forum until all the heat has all but simmered down.
Here's this user's posts before and after in relation to his controversial post being deleted courtesy of Pinoy Exchange:
Before:
"you are the epitomy of the sip-sip listeners talked about earlier.
And with regards to the call letters. You are a total moron and have no concept of how radio works.
Campus already had a brand, but were unable to translate it to a new station. DUH"
After:
For someone who talks about their educational background and post it for all to see where it is public property, to remove it to back up a point. Very Sad,
It's ok, we are moving into a time where we will finally hear good radio, not some cheap am college band programming.

The CSB Experience 2: REDUX@KAWIT (The Mediamax Adventure 2)
1. Preparation
A week before the teambuilding ah...: 1)My phone's short-circuited, 2)my Nikon digicam is no longer usable, 3)loads of projects still left undone, 4) tiringsome assumption of leader-roles in some group projects, so on and so forth.
I prayed that nothing out-of-the-ordinary had ever occured on that particular day. I don't want a repetition of last year's nor the past years where I usually left manila for out-of-town field trips. While on the way home prior to Saturday, I bought some necessities at Watson's in Araneta Square: Food, Toiletries, you name it! And before midnight, I took 4 pieces of shirts, 1 sando, several undies, 4 pairs of shorts and a big towel (though I doubted that time if should I bring my own towel, irt'd be all for nothing since the resort had their own set of towels readied in our rooms. I even set my mom's phone which I'm currently using in the meantime at 4 AM IN THE MORNING just so I could get in school intime before 6.
2. Ring...ring,,,
I woke up, looked around and took that cell and turned it off and went back to sleep.
4. Tiktilaok....
I woke up, looked around, took my cellphone to take a look at the time and "WHAT?! 5:30 NA?! !@!$#$%^$&^%*&(....".
At 5:30, I rose from my bed, went down the stairs and hurriedly took a bath. 3 minutes later, I got out, dressed myself up and went down to eat breakfast. at 5:40, I took a bowl, carton of milk, cereals and devoured what is to devoured. Went upstairs again, packed up my things at the last minute. I wore my shoes (just in case). I borrowed my dad's slippers and placed it inside my dad's "too-heavy-to-call-it-a-bag".
I brought also my other bag, my usual shoulder bag for my immediate needs like cellphone, wallet, etc. By 5:55, I went out from my house in Valenzuela and took a ride insde the jeep en route to Monumento. I forgot to get my mom's charger and my blue "cool-na-cool na mukhang cool" na cotton jacket.
5. Travel Time
Good thing it's a Saturday: No cars, less traffic, faster travel time. I got to Moneumento sooner thanI expected. I checked my phone's watch and it is already 6:20. I hurriedly walked my way to the LRT Terminal. Got into a train and 30 minutes passed.
6. Finally!
Finally, exactly 7 hit the dot. I made it to vito Cruz, crossed Taft, and noticed there three buses. Plus vehicles owned by ABS-CBN since it's CPI channel, Myx, is hosting an event inside CSB later that day (too bad for me).
I saw one of the officers, Topher(?). he saw me, asked for my name and hurriedly left. he camer back, telling me to go insde that bus in front of Starbucks-CSB (yes, we now have our own Starbucks on that side of Taft).
I got in, greeted carlo. Saw JV making dasal-dasal inside. I got in and ended up sitting in the middle. I saw behind me, ex-DV1 blockmate Niko boi and his bunch of friends of...wait, sophomores?
7. DnD Remembered
Yeah, I saw some familiar faces from last year's team building. David, one-half of DnD (Dave-and-David) [tinubuan na pala ng buhok :joke: ), and Jacob, the guy who gave me that palayok lying in some shelf in my room up til now collecting dust. There are also new sophomore faces whom I've met that day. Jacob's friends erickson and.. (In the meantime, having mental block so i can't remember the otehr guy's name), then Justin's blockmate from DV7, Allan. And another guy I cant recall his name. Hahaha! Oh and last year's Jeff was also in the vicinity
8. Freshers
Sophomore's are heavily outnumbered by the larger majority which are the fresher members composed primarily of froshes. Two of them I already had a feeling since last wednesday that i'm gonna meet them sooner than I could say "WHAT?!".
9. R we Der Yet?
And yes we are. Not long after we left, at 50 minutes or less, we were already there at the venue: Watercamp Resort formerly known as Josephine. The officers won't let us out but we saw that the guys at the other bus are coming out. I got the biggest surprise that one of the most unexpected people I never imagined is joining this trip "pala". I'm not gonna name this guy though for your sake.
10. Taho
Guys who are atat to make "yosi" finally got the chance to do their thing, there was a mangtataho yelling taho to what he conceived as potential sources of income. Many were allured to his special attracting factor that he called "taho", a soya-like product mixed with pearls and syrup. A tasty contraption I might say.
11. Roomies
Okay, I'll skip the part about us trying to know the imposed house rules and the like. JV decided to re-arranged room assignments and had us choose whome we want to be with. I wanna be with Nikko's group since their the only people I know. But I ended up being sent to a room manned by people I don't know. Fresher members.
I have nothing against froshes but I have this kind of insecurity of some sort, awkwardness much. But what the heck, teambuilding nga eh, so why not take the opportunity. I went in and said hi to them and the rest as they say is history.
12. Visitation
I decded to check out Niko's room while my roomates were away. It was okay to tghem for me to come in. niko's roommates with as I have mentioned, David, Allan, and the one I can recall the face but not the name (Sorry talaga!).
13. Too Long
Later that day, I felt the need to eat so I went out to buy lunch at the Canteen. There was too long a line and it seems like it's not going to move for a long while so I went back to Niko's room (my own roommates are still gone with our room key so I can't get in). I caught David sleeping, and Niko and company about to leave the room. I stayed there to let time passed off for a little while longer before I left the area. I left David still in his utmost slumber so I left their key attached to their doorknob.
14. They call me James, That's My name, That'smy name, that's My name!
Tagal ng service. I was thinking of buying something chicken but they ran out so I went with the lechong kawali. Behind my back, someone was calling my name. Turns out it was Sir Dan, the MMx moderator. Good thing he remembered me from last year (I don't wanna remember!).
Sooner, David went down and he was kinda complaining why he was left alone in their room. He thought of buying food so he wnet back to get his wallet, leaving me next to Sir Dan to my right and a loving couple at my right. He came back and saw me where at exactly where he elft me off. Ganon katagal ang serbis nila.
15. Del Monte
He ordered lechong kawali too and both of us seated at the nearest table. With us is a tall guy wearing glasses. I noticed that he had ketchup instead of sarsa.
16. "james H."
Okay, We were given name tags earlier and I wrote mine as "James H." since there's someone in the party who is also goes by "James".
The officers took our tags and scattered them to the ground. The initial actvity was for each of us to take one of them and look for the person with that kind of name. That one I picked up is a girl's name and turns out it's my ex-classmate in Philoma. The one who found me is a freshman girl whom I met again earlier today (August 14, 3:30 pm).
17. BOT.E
We were grouped into 5 and I ended up with Jeff, and 2 other fresheman, Nikki (?) and Apaya. The next actvity was for us to introduced ourselves in a creative way. So we thought of several names to introduce ourselves and came up with "BOT.E".
What caught the attention of the members are those from Gilbert's, and Joey's (the guy in curls I mentioned in my other blog post). it took us approxinately 2 hours for it to finish,
18. London Bridge
The most gruesome and tiresome of all the actvities would be this one. I don't wanna mention it anymore since it took us too long to finish this. Just to cut it short, me and my pals of 19 were one of the first to finish (this include tough-looking Ava, sof-spoken Eva the sophomore, and the tall guy with glasses).
19. Merienda
We finally ahd our merienda at long last. I was sittted along with Niko and his roomies. We chatted and talked and that's just it. Oh yeah, Carlo came in and came out. Pati rin si JV at si Gilbert.
20. Sushi Rules
As was Mediamax tradition, we did the sushi roll on the pool but given that we were one too many, medyo nahirapan kami. kumulot. Napagod kami doon!
21. 20 blind guys, 20 blind guys, see how they run, see how they run
Gruesome rin ito, Blind Man's Walk. Ang mas gruesome ay ang series of mind tricks at wordplay na kagaguhan na ibinato sa utak ko mula sa mga kagaya nina Gilbert at allan (them at the very least. SKIP!!
Okay, back to the blind man's trail, we completely had no idea where we are going since we were wearing blindfolds. May nabangga dito, may nasugatan doon. We ended up somehwere near the playground.
22. Cafe ni Alfonso
Turns out, this is the name of one of the members. Astig. We ate dinner there and I ended up sitting in a table with Jacob and friends.
23. Pool Party
All i can say is solo ng mediamax ang buong resort sa nagpoool party na kami. Ahehehehe.
Umayaw na ako pass 11 so I went back in my room at naligo amidst bthe baho of the water coming out of the faucet. Good thing there's a bucket already filled by water thanks to room service. Sira na pala dat time my nikon digicam, tsk, tsk...
24. Bumpy sleep
I slept at the ever-reliable bunk-bed common to 5-man rooms in Watercamp. It screeches and stuffy and it's not meant to be used by people with back problems. The pillow with it is stuffy and is as hard as stone. I tried my best to sleep using this but I can't, hirap! Oh yeah, aircon's too darn cold.
25. The REDUX
No alcohol meams hang-over so it means i had woked up on the right side of the bed. I rose up around 6 and walked around the resort. Some were also out and just walking around the place including Rapha who knew me since June. We had breakfast at 8 with me, Jacob and co. back where we ate dinner.
26. Miting de avance
JV overslept because he's tired from inspecting the rooms the whole night so Nico-not-the-107 took over to oversee what happened the day before. we were released and gave the time for us to swim some more at the pool. I took the remaing hours of our stay to fix my things, took a shower and make a conversation with Eva the sophomore.
27. The Final Countdown
We had our final meal inside the canteen. Enjoyed some conversations with Jacob and Allan. And listen via my portable radio on 99.9 The Bomb FM (between Campus and RJ).
28. Pa-Picture
Despite the intensity of the sun, naggroup picture na kami. Init kung init, maaliwalas kung maaliwalas, ilang beses kaming kinunan nina Gilbert and JV.
29. The Early Returns
We arrived around past 4 pm (Tunog Kalye Sunday) on CSB's side of Taft. And without further delay, I left to ride on the LRT and was on my home.
30. Aftermath
I bought Sagu on Araneta Square, took a jeepney ride home, my mom's phone ran out of batteries and I alreayd feel sleepy as early as 5 past the hour in the afternoon.
I got home, ate dinner, washed dishes, took a bath, changed clothes and finally laid myself to sleep to face A Brand New Day!
So iyun na yon. Pictures will come out very shortly...

The CSB Experience 2: Eating Benildean Fish Fillet at the Z-Square
Ah! I was supposed to write a grievance post about the evil man at the DLSU visitor kiosk who never lets CSB students from coming into the mother-school grounds. This all changed when I was able to get through it with the help of my Jamer alumni friend. Still, that guy sucks bigtime.
Anyway, I bought myself packed fish fillet from KOI from the CSB Caf (Main) and was supposed to be on my way to SDA to eat there. I took a quick trip to the OSA to have them sign my blue form for Saturday's MMx teambuilding. Unfortuantely, I seem to have lost it (I may have left it at home, waghh!). Suddenly, someone pat on my back. I turned around and found it was my kuya's batchmate and Fred's cousin, Albert.
He invited me to eat with him at Main [DLSU]. I hesitated at first because of my recent experience from the evil visitor kiosk dude at the South Gate. But since I am about to eat anyway, I tagged along.
Once there, I let Albert do the talking, lying that we are to do some research at the DLSU library. He bought it and gave us visitor passes and slips. Next thing I knew, we are all in! Woohoo!
The question now is: Where the heck is the libary?! For someone who's not a student of a large university, I really don't have the slightest idea on where to go. Albert took the initiative and used his instinct to lead us. At some mini-park filled with chairs, tables, and umbrellas; he saw a girl sitting somewhere there under an umbrella, reading a book and her cellphone out. He smooth talked his way to make her tell where the library is: on the left side of the chapel behind us. That would have to do since their signages are so confusing.
Once there, we asked two 20-something custodians to sign our visitor slips. I guessed they got what we were talking about thus agreed on signing them.
Off we go to the famous cafeteria Lasallians are all talking about, Z-Square. We went passed hot babes in mini-skirts, hot babes in mini-shorts, and hot babes in sleepers (I didn't notice, si Albert lang), plus there was some org recruitment thing going on in-between. The La Salle envy got into me again, wishing the CSB could at least soften its dress code policy and allow us to wear slippers (there ought to be regulations instead of a total ban anyway).
Enter the Z-2x. I was amazed that despite being obviously crowded by long tables and chairs, they have a wide array of stalls in the 1st floor alone, IN ALL FOUR CORNERS! They even have their own Domino's Pizza stal!! Sa'n ka pa!
Albert bought tempura, a 25-peso side snack and what was described by my ate as "the most delicious home-cooked burger I [Ate] ever ate!". I just bought some C2 worth 25 pesos.
Now that all were setted, Albert and I had a guy-to-guy talk about girls. Something about why they are this way, and how guys in our high school would make 'porma' to get girls. We also talked about certain personalities in high school on why they are what they were back then and how, in Albert's opinion, they will finally fall into retribution, etc.
It's really nice to get to know more about Fred's cousin. I only met him during 2nd term course card distribution last year. He's a good a friend to converse with tas well as a good pianist (he and Fred are being taught by one instructor). Despite me having a problem being 'bulol', he donesn't really mind at all.
The next time I go to La Salle, I'll be buying food coming from there, especially the much-talked about burgers that they make. Hahahah!
Even so, the guy at the visitor kiosk still sucks like rotten eggwhites!
The CSB Experience 2: 107 Clutter and Panic on the Es-Ay-Es
The day before, I was able to write the entire schedules of all the class of my selected subjects. Considering that all of them are now once-a-week classes and are all based in the SDA building, I consider myself lucky since finally I'd have 2 days off the school week. I was originally planning on having 2 3-hour subjects for the first three days of the week, have one day off, then another subject on Friday and my NSTP-CWT subject on Saturdays (I was planning on having it placed in the morning slot on AKIC though).
Then this thing happened...
Yesterday afternoon, I was just fresh from attending Mediamax's latest GM's so I was looking forward to getting myself go staright to the nearby PC on the 9th floor and have myself encode my preferred schedule. Unfortunately, the moment I pressed 'enter' on the log-in page, it started to suck bigtime. The SIS won't let me in, niether do the other students. I tried to repeat the process several times but an error page would appear.
I was to have my Joseriz subject 30 minutes later but my professor called it off citing a similar incident involving other 107 students from his earlier classes in AKIC. I asked the people of the ACTC on what's with all the ruckus and all they could say is that there's a problem with the SIS server and the heavy load of people trying to get in all at the same time is making it all the worse: slow.
I went to A1002 which is a computer lab and edcided to skip my 2nd-to-the last class for the day, Oralcom lec. I felt so frustrated because the server of this dang SIS is too damn slow! the moment I was able to get in, I moved my mouse and clicked on the 'Pre-enrollment' link which should direct me to the page where I could pick my schedules. Unfortunately, the SIS went "sumpong" and couldn't get me in, it's either some "application error" got in the way or simply a no nonsense wait-a-thon that lasts longer than your Lola and ends tragically with an error page at thevery cliff of my patience.
Basicom came and finally, the moment I went log-in to a PC on 1008, I was able to get myself past the pre-enrollment link and the only thing I had to do is to set up my schedule. I thought all the good ones were taken and left off an amazing number of night classes from 6-9pm. Fortunately, there were sveral afternoon slots left.
Since the SIS was too dang slow, it only recognizes one saved schedule at a time. It took me until 7pm (still having my Basicom class). The good thing is that the possibility of having a night class is but a decent dream.
Sometime that evening, the SIS was temporarly closed for maintenance and promised those who weren't able to access the site that they would extend for one more day the encoding process for the benefit of 107 students and the like.
Ha! good thing, they didn't reset the whole thing completely or else, those who were able to get through albeit the slowness will be forced to re-input everything.
By the way, here's my schedule for the 2nd term! :):):)

Tour de Manila
Since the jeepney where I was in was a bit crowded, I never had ted the liberty to really see what's going on outside except for the jeepney's window where I could turn my head.
First sight to see is Avenida Rizal from Chinese Cemetery to Doroteo Jose., the historic business district that has since lost its luster after the LRT was placed on it. there, I saw historic areas like the La Loma, Chinese and North Cemeteries which lie adjacent to each other. Followed by similarly designed residential and commercial buildings (plus some really old Spanish houses). When I said similar, I meant, they all have a columns and arches supporting the upper floors of the building. But because of the poor lighting and pollution caused by vehicle emission entrapped by below by the LRT structure, it created some sort of urban blight that is both unsightly and unpleasant to see.
We took a left turn towards the area going to Nicanor Reyes because of the increasing pile-upof vehicles towards the ara where the fire was going on. Next thing I knew, I was in a busy thoroughfare en route to unexplored areas of Manila. I was finanlly somewhere near the Espana freeway and there I saw up and close the Art Deco beauty that is Far Eastern University. It looks good in its yellow facade and oh I wanted to be there if only my application to FEU didn't get lost at one point.
Suddenly, the lady next to me was making a sign of the cross, meaning we where passing by a parish. I can't see the other side of the jeep because it's still crowded. I can only see bits of the church. I took another look outside and saw Plaza Miranda! WHAT?! So it means, finally I was now in Quiapo and the parish I just saw is actually Quiapo Church! Ooh..nice!
Then next of course, the jeep is now crossing the Pasig in it's full splendor and i could see bits of smoke coming out from the aforementioned building (Good Earth Plaza Bldg.). we took some twists and turn and next thing I knew we were in Arroceros (Meihan Gardens?) right beside City College of Manila (Known at one point as Universidad de Manila pre-Lim era). The driver drove past Intramuros and before coming out to Luneta Park fully. There I get to see the former skating rink for which now lies the Lapu-Lapu Monument. It took a left turn and went straight out to T.M. Kalaw Street.
From T.M. Kalaw, the jeepney took another turn to M.H. Del Pilar where I get to see multiple hotels and restos in the Ermita-Malate Area. I also saw a little girl making poop while using a a hole in road as some toilet, eew...!
I didn't want to wait any further before it reaches Harrison Plaza so I stopped at Pedro Gil, walk my way to Robinson's Place for a while and later went ahead rode a jeep to Taft and walking hastingly in P. Ocampo for me to get into my first class. (I wasn't able to have lunch at noon so after my first class, I took a quick break to the cafe at Main to eat some grub at last). And that pretty much ended my quick one-hour tour of Manila.

The CSB Experience 2: Agosto Todo
When I realized that school projects are evil when many as early as Grade 6, I dread myself from ever doing those stuff. Then again, I have to since projects comprises a hiuuge amount of my subject's total grade percentage.
Take this for example, I have to do a Rizal-related group project (it was supposed to be as easy as pie since it originally composed of just me and my other classmate but someone wanted to merge with us so I had no choice but to let them in).
Then, I have this whole product marketing strategy for Basicom with Hoogie and Bianca deriving from our TV ad which is a cosmetic product (direct-selling). We have to make a marketing kit, complete with business cards, posters, brochures, and even a website chuck full of fictional yet informative information (redundant).
What could be my ever irritating weekly project is making an artwork for Hartds-1 about this and added with a critical essay "cherva" about it.
For Philien we have to make an MTV complete with us singing a song orginally wrote by one of us. I took the honors though of penning it for they say I have a way with words "daw".
Well, that's college all right but if you're still in high school, teachers doesn't have the right to give students a heavy load of pre-finals project for them to do, consiodering how late they are dismissed from their class added with a limited time for them to take a full rest as well as to fully manage all of their projects with ease.
-------
I had a bad feeling when the very first day of August came into full blast. First, it was raining hard at the most unexpected time and even now, the flood in our subdivision haven't subsided fully even though it's been there since June! Second, my less-than-a-year old cellphone accidentally got exposed to water and has now short-circuited. The warranty for it was completely voided so I have to pay fopr its repairs (good thing it'll only cost me less than a thousand pesos for it). Plus my 18th birthday is less than 30 days away and I have a feeling, it would be a very wet-wet one considering having all of my birthdays been rainy days ranging from the slightly-moderate to the heavier-than-normal kind. madalas ngang dinadalaw ng bagyo ang birthday ko eh, sa'n ka pa?!
Given those inevitable things, there's still something good for me to look forward at. For starters, ABC-5 will be changing face, hopefully for the better. Second, my personalized t-shirts will finally see the light of day thanks to Graphiquetee with no problems whatsoever. Third, my birthday's on a Sunday so we'll be malling once again plus, it's term break the day after. Yipee!
I just hope that thing won't turn for the worst!
