A few nights ago, I had this dream wherein I was found myself back in the US after so long a time. The dream itself was a bit fuzzy but all I could remember clearly was this guy I knew then, his name is Kendall, was in it.
So Kendall is a year older than me and by now, he's in first year college. We really don't know much about each other except that he lives in the same neighborhood as I (or so I remembered) back in Falls Church seven years ago.
I knew him as a wee bit of a meanie and a bully-ish kind of fellow. He was also a member of this circle of duly-recognized "Patrollers", so everytime I go to and from school in a school bus, I could hear him yelling at young violaters. One phrase I could very well still remember what he used to say whenever he's on-duty "GET OUT FROM THE AISLE!!" (Aisle is pronounced as "Uh-y'all" hehehe!
Back in my dream, so I met him somewhere in Falls Church and then he tried to talk to me, trying to reconnect, even though there's really nothing to reconnect about considering we were not really much friends with each other; only connection was him being a classmate of my good friend, Abe, who's now in his 3rd year at Ateneo de Manila.
He spoke to me, he started conversing with me, yes. But the weird part about it is that he's talking to me in FILIPINO! To make things clearer, he's speaking to me in TAGALOG na TAGALOG na walang pag-aalinlangan!
Some of what he said were like this: "Oh, kamusta ka na?", "Naalala mo pa rin ba sina...?", "Balita ko nasa college ka na, totoo ba iyon?". Things like that!
Not only was it very awkward that I had a dream about one of the most unfriendliest people I know on the face of the earth, it's him speaking to me to language he most likely won't understand in reality that made it all the more weird.
Is there some special meaning with regards to this? I already have a record of dreams ended up being true to life (albeit it occurs in places not shown in my dreams initially), so it may be a sounding possibility that this one may see the light of day as well. Where and when, only God could tell.
