Yep but im not gonna use this one as such. It's more of a necessity since I'm going to have a class that teaches about photography by next term so dapat paghahandaan ko to :)
maxadong mahal ung mga bagong model...ung d60 sana balak kong bilhin kaso tumaas ung price niya sa megamall. Start ka muna sa D40 since bagay tong pang neophyte na tulad natin
It doesn't differ that much from the D40 except the slightly higher mp, the VR lens, better noise handling capability, and that internal cleaning thing you'll need when you change lenses frequently.
From the price you paid, you can get a D60 with a bag, a tripod and probably 2-4GB memory card, even a free UV filter from Mayer's or Henry's in Hidalgo (you can haggle it down pretty much if you know how to "tickle" mang Ramon's funny bone).
Talk about smuggled goods when in fact Columbia Digital supplies quiapo stores.
Anyway, looking forward to a day of shooting with you, Jaime. =)
sa columbia in Megamall ko nabili d40. Di ko lang alam kung bakit very contrasting ung prices nila sa branch nila sa Quiapo. Ask them about it pero hindi klaro ung sagot nila sakin.
Of course, as a business man, you have to protect your customers (which happens to be mainly of shops in hidalgo), else they'll flood the market of grey units, which Columbia doesn't want to happen.
Sakay ka ng LRT>Baba ka ng Carriedo>Take a shortcut at Isetann Mall (May entrance sila sa loob ng Carriedo Station)>Baba ka rtapos ahanpin mo exit>Makikita mo iyung surplus store ng SM na katapat ng Isetann so either: Go to the right side of SM Surplus store at ikutin mo na hanggang sa makita mo iyung kalye ng hidalgo or pumasok ka sa loob ng store at lumabas ka sa kabilang side ng store, nasa Hidalgo ka na :)
Who would've known the DSLR is now a status symbol? Good heavens. :|

Smuggled is not the word. You might be referring to the grey market, or the "Nikons-that-didn't-come-from-Mr.-Anderson-Tan's-Columbia-digital shop."
ReplyDeleteThese are the Nikons that came from an external Nikon Distributor (since there is no Nikon Philippines yet.)
I thought you opt to be a non-trad photographer. I guess I was wrong. :D
ReplyDeletecurious ako sa ginagwa ni Mang Ador hehehe.
ReplyDeleteSabi sakin ni Jeff (with no -rick), 28k but the one sold at Megamall was 40k smackers
ReplyDelete26k nalang D60 sa Hidalgo... that was 3 months ago pa yata so malamang mas mababa pa ngayon. Parang ang mahal ng bili mo sa D40...hehe..
