I read this humongous book containing comic-strip-inspired illustrations about teenage kids. And I found this one comic strip ironically true in real life.
There's this kid wearing glasses who was riding a bike with his best friend. As they bike along the neighborhood, the kid saw a little boy he met once. The little boy asked if he wanna play a game of baseball with him but the kid refused and left the poor little boy on his own.
At home, the kid and the best friend went inside and was greeted by the kid's grandmother who bought a stack of old comicbooks from the nearby flea-market. The kid became angry to her grandma seeing that the comicbooks are badly disorganized and aren't in the right order. His grandma tried to apologized but the kid continually yelled at her up to the point that the grandmother asked her daughter (the kid's mom) for her medicine.
The kid decided he could at least have the comicbooks re-organized by himself seeing that he's able to read its page numbers and the order of its publishing date. He tried to thank his grandma but what she said in reply was "Go to hell...". Apparently disappointed by the uttered disrespect given to her by her grandson.
Meanwhile, the kid boasted in front of his best friend saying he has this large collection of comicbooks in his room and he, the best friend, will be the first person to see it. But as the kid opens his room, he was shocked to find that all of his comicbooks were all gone.
He had another set of tantrums, demanding to know from his mom why his collection of comicbooks disappeared. She said that his comics were all scattered in the room and were thought to be trash so she had them al thrown inside the garbage can. Hurriedly, he went outside to check on the garbage can sitting in front of their houses, only to find nothing.
With another bout of tantrums, the kid threw a fit and tore his house apart to look for his missing comicbooks. He searched everywhere except for his mom's room but was prevented by no less but his mom. That was when the kid, now angrier than ever, concluded that his mom took his collection of comicbooks away from him and had them all hid inside her room.
The kid's already pissed off grandmother came to help her daughter bring her bad-mouthing grandson downstairs and threw him out of the house to think of the damaged he caused. It was then that he decided to run away and hopped on his bestfriend's bicycle and drove away.
END
Oh man, do have I seen people who are actually like that! So childish and immature!
