The CSB Experience 2: The CSB Halloween Special Year 2

Aha! It's the 31st of October and it's that time again of the year were spooks, witches and ghouls rule the land: Halloween. As always, I'm quite amazed if not surprised on how the students here in CSB celebrate this very important occasion.

Given though that today is a half-day in preparation for the upcoming All Saint's Day holiday, there weren't much people in the SDA today. But as few as they are, they still come to school in gothic Halloween fashion. I see some girls wearing dark make-up and whiteb foundation, some wearing extra-gothic costumes, and while others were wearing pumpkin hats, witch hats, and other Halloween-ish headbands in the for of red and black horns (It'd be extra cool if you wear glowing red horns). Have I mentioned that the school goths were extra-gothic today?

I remember last year (The DV1 Halloween Special), some of my blockmates were wearing costumes in lieu with the occasion, one was wearing a trench-coat, another wore a red horny head band, the other was wearing a "Cat in a Hat" hat, black gloves, shades with light bulbs and long dark scarfs.

It was also that time when I first met Dione, a friend of Alyssa and company. She's one of CSB's resident goths (people/mostly girls, clad in black dresses and boots, make-up etc.). I remember seeing her at the CSB Caf in Main wearing a large pair of black wings. She was really, really nice. Today we would often bump each other every now and then, usually at the SDA Caf.

For the occasion, she was in her usual goth gal clothes with the addition of a one-half of a pair of black horn band. The other half being worn by a friend of hers.

Also at the Caf I saw also quite a number of people wearing black, and no they're not emo. Probably they wanna dress for the occasion but don't have the budget to really clad themselves in true "Old Hallow's Eve" fashion. Like this guy I know who wore a long-sleeved black shirt, and a freshman whom I caught wearing a black-not-so-emo t-shirt.

If today marks the day of the Undead, then tomorrow and Sunday would be the days of the Saint's and Souls.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The CSB Experience 2: Held Back (The Jamer Connection)

Last night, I was supposed to start enlisting my subjects for next term right in the comfort of my home. But something went wrong....really, really, REALLY wrong!

When I clicked on "Enlistment" on the Student Info System website, it went directly to the "Clearance" webpage and it says there I have a pending requirement that needs to be met at the soonest time possible. That means I have to go to school on a classless Wednesday, AGAIN! Arghhh...And I thought this Wednesday would be different than the past Wednesdays I had for the first half of the term.

Aghhhh....!

So I left for school around 11:30 am and arrived in CSB at 12:40. According to the SIS, I should go to Window 18 of the school registrar but it's closed for lunch. In the meantime, I stayed at the LRC to read some newspapers, periodicals I haven't read for the longest time like Manila Standard Today, Manila Bulletin, and Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Just wehn I was about to leave to get some grub, I chaned upon Calayag (Okay, that his surname. his first name is Francis but I'm more fond of calling him by his surname)! Him and I are batchmates from high school. he aksed me if I was able to enlist and said to him that I can't. He aksed if it was something about the transcript and I said "yeah!". He told me that I'm not the only one with this particular type of problem, but it's also the problem of our other batchmatesm like Maan, and Carol.

Sometime around 1:30, I went back to the registrar area and there was alreadyn a line forming out from Window 18, comprising of students eagerly awaiting the return of the registrar people from their lunchbreak. I so happened to be lined behind Maan, who's pursuing BS-HRIM. I shared to her my dilemma and so we lined up together to wait in line. Eventually, Calayag joined in.

It took more than hour, about a quarter hour before 3 when it was my turn in line, I had my ID surrendered and I have to wait for a few more minutes for processing time. The guy at Window 18 told me that my Form-something-something a.k.a. my transcript is being withheld by my old alma mater, Saint James Academy. They've already called the school several times since February but no one from SJA took care over the matter. The result: Quite a number of us fromSJA who are in CSB cannot enroll for next term.

So the guy gave me an envelope addressed to SJA's Registrar/Principal. This should urged them to give CSB what it wants or else, it's the affected alumni who'll get the boot.

Pearl'N'Beans

Something I wrote just now. Enjoy reading:

“Pearl’n’Beans”

Once upon a time, there was once a farmer boy named Awiyao. He loves planting rice and dreamt of becoming a farmer like his father. He lived in a hut on a barrio called Mapatiuacal. He is loved by many because he is nice, friendly, and good in cockfighting.

One day, while coming home after a long day’s work, Awiyao saw in the fields a girl planting beans. He has a thing for beans that’s why he liked the way the beans are being planted in the soil. Awiyao approached her and complimented her bean-planting skills. She was flattered by it so she introduced herself to him. Her name is Lumnay.

Awiyao then invited her to his house where they ate dinner together, talked about beans together and eventually slept together for the night. The next day, Lumnay woke up to see Awiyao’s hut a mess so she cleaned it up for him. He would wake to see his house clean, all thanks to Lumnay. He felt a sudden attraction because of she can do.

Awiyao took the courage to propose Lumnay marriage and eventually they tied the not. The relationship started out happy and strong but as months and years passes by, Lumnay is unable to conceive a child for her husband. This made Awiyao angry, very angry.

Frustrated for her wife’s inability to bear children, he left her. It was never his intention though to leave her but Awiyao wanted to have a family, complete with a husband, a wife, and children.

He thought of ways of how he could impregnate his wife, Awiyao sought the help of the barrio babaylan, Madukmay, in finding a way to make Lumnay fertile. The babaylan said that in order to fulfill his wish, Awiyao must do the impossible. Madukmay told Awiyao that he must look for a pearl that could make a woman pregnant when swallowed. This particular pearl can only be found at the deepest of the deep blue sea that is filled with numerous sharks, eels, and piranhas.

Awiyao said he is willing to do anything for the sake of Lumnay, his ever undying true love. He then set forth towards the sea and swam using a bamboo mouthpiece encased with oxygen that could last for two hours. He went past the sharks and the eels but got critically injured by the piranhas. Fortunately he was able to retrieve the pearl and swam back to he surface before returning to land. He then had Lumnay swallow the pearl and weeks later, she had successfully conceived with Awiyao’s child.

Nine months later, a baby boy was born. The new bundle of joy was named “Madukmay” by Lumnay. Awiyao and Lumnay, after all the hardships that they had faced, are now living peacefully and their love grew stronger than ever.

A the sun began to set, they looked at each other and shared a kiss together.

Na-Pikon

I wasn't really serious about my YM stats "I'll be blogging about you". But circumstances led me to write down one anyway.

Just around 10PM, I sent a PM to one of my old grade school friends to remind him about two of our friends' having their birthdays coming up later this month. At first we were all laughing until I made a supposedly funny remark on his profile pic.

I only said "Ano ba naman yang profile pic mo?! :D :))" (Note that I put en emoticon to emphasize that I was only kidding). I just don't know what happened suddenly he replied on a somehow not-so-friendly manner.

"wtf do you care?" or so he said on YM.

Fearing he may have misunderstood what I just wrote, I said to him that what I said was meant as an innocent joke. So why being such a bad sport, I asked myself about him.

So to make him feel better, I lied to him and said I greeted him and many of our former classmates in grade school when I guested on a radio show a week ago. He's only reply..."So?". I'm not sure though but I think I sent him a PM on that day inviting him to listen to the show I was guesting. Just so to forget about the mess, I made him believe that I did greeted him on-air. He didn't replied afterwards and went offline since then.

Bad sport! Oh well, just so to believe that I did even if I didn't, I'm planning on sending him e-mailed pictures of me during my stay in DZMM, just so he would realized that what I said were actually true, or at least half it is true.

I think in YM, one should know the difference of what's an insult and what's an innocent joke, especially when one is trying to clarify that it is a joke and that he had no intentions of hurting anybody.

If all else fails, I just send him a simple PM saying "I'm sorry" if I did hurt his feelings.

I Looked Too Young

This happened a few hours ago. I was in the gym working out and there was these two men who went past me and took some dumbbells. They were talking to each other so I I really didn't mind much.

But that was until, one of them looked at me and asked I was old enough to hold this pair of 15-pound. dumbbells I was carrying. I said "Yes...". He asked for my age and was surprised when he knew that I'm eighteen years old. So he was like "Really? You looked too young to be 18, though".

I don't know if what he just said was a compliment. And I ask you guys, do I really looked that young for my age?

He told me that he used to be like me when he was starting out. Then he asked me from what school I attend to, I said to him that I go to CSB.

"CSB? Dude, alam mo iyung CSB?" He asked his friend.

"...CSB...Iyung nasa harap ng La Salle..." His friend answered.

"Mmmmm..." I just said to myself.

Laughing matter yes. I just couldn't see myself younger than my actual age in front of a mirror. I mean, 18 year-old guys have varying looks, some looked too old while the're those who looked too young. But never do I considered myself as looking too young for my age.

Weird!

The CSB Experience 2: Out From the House

I bumped across an old friend while I was walking out from UST in Dapitan. Unexpected meeting so I waved my ahnd and yelled out his name. Then we talked, trying to update with each other and knowing how we both are doing since the last time we've met.

He already graduated quite recently, about 2-3 weeks ago. Nice to know that he's done with life here in college and now he's hellbent on facing the corporate world. (Wow!)

I asked why he was in the area in the first place and found out that he's running a business in the locality and that he was on his way on another one.

It has been almost a year already since we've last seen each other. We both used to be in an org but we all got too preoccupied with other things that time that we left (Him leaving weeks before I followed). He's one of the few friends I've made in CSB outside my block, and one of the nicest non-107 people I have ever met. We were present during our first training session being conducted by the org if I could recall correctly, orienting us about some stuff and the rest is history.

I wish him the best of luck in his career. I just hope I, too, could also survive this thing called "college". ^V^

Dapitan: The Last Exile

Pix I took in UST! Enjoy!

Na-USTe Ako!: The Last Exile, Dapitan!

"just keep on trying, keep on flying
I will be the light"
-Cloud Age Symphony (from the animated series 'Last Exile')
So yeah, I was back inside the University of Sto. Tomas once again last Friday to file my brother's application. If I could remember correctly, this would be the 4th time that I was in UST, not counting being in the area multiply times since I was in like 8 or 9 years old.

I left CSB at around 3pm and rode the LRT until Tayuman. Took a jeepney ride until I finally arrived at Dapitan. The present Jollibee there used to be an old Greenwhich restaurant years back so it's kinda sad that JFC turned it into another Jollibee branch (No wonder Greenwhich-Bayan bowed out of the competition because of Chowking-Star J and nearby Jollibee-Bayan).
I went inside and once again got amazed and all. It's like I was in Intramuros except that i'm not. I headed to UST's own Tan Yan Kee Building/Student Center (Since UE Caloocan's Fine Arts Building is also named after the guy). When I went there inside, I looked ofr the admissions center. Thanks heavens it wasn't crowded with applicants accompanied by their mothers like the one I saw in La Salle's Bro. Andrew Gonzales Building last month.

The admissions center looks a lot like the library in SJA. I don't know why but that's pretty much my observation from the wallpaper to the cubicles and the like. When it was my turn in line (To be honest, there wasn't much any line at all) I brought out all of Jorge's requirements, his birth certificate, application form, two identical 2x2 ID's and of course his recommendation letter.

Speaking of "recommendation letter", he admissions lady said I don't need to have it submitted until enrollment (if Jorge is to pass the exam). But I noti
ced that the envelope containing the letter has the letters "CSB" written on it. Good thing I didn't opened it upon initial request of the admission lady since this one I know contains the letter coming from CSB itself! Wheew!

Then she directed me to one of many PC's to encode the needed information about my brother. They have this program that serves like an "application form for examination" thing. The moment I pressed "Submit", I was quickly shown with the available exam date, place, and time plus his test permit number.

So it read that Jorge was to his exam on the 7th of December, 8am to 12 nn at the Beato Angelico Building.

After I was done with my primary objective to be in UST, it's then time to fulfill another objective, mag-lakwatsa!

Good thing I brought my 'old-reliable' FinePix digicam with me to remember this momentous event of a lifetime. I went around campus, took
some pictures and walked in some parts and walked in other parts.

Then I walked some and took pictures more.

I saw their most famous building (where I took my exam more than a year ago), the statue of its founder and the mini-park fronting it. I also saw the really, really wide soccer field+baseball field+volleyball field. They also have an "Ying Te U"-type of road, you know, one single road lined with trees on each side where you could see people jogging from afar, few cars would be seen passing by, etc.

I also saw from afar their amphitheater wherein last few Fridays ago, there was a concert held there at night. In addition was Beato Angelico, the place where CFAD people go.
I also saw UST Hospital, lots of sad memories there.

Fronting it is a wide stretch of a food strip occupying the first floor of their Accountancy building/parking building. They have not just stalls but also restos like Ice Cream Monster, McDonald's, KFC, and San Miguel Foodstore.

30 minutes after 4, I left UST and while I was walking in Dapitan chanced upon one of my old friends back in CSB, Neri. He is fresh from his graduation two weeks ago where he earned his bachelor's deg
ree in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs. Congrats to him!

Good thing that I was in UST earlier because by 4pm, admissions got attacked by swarms of applicants accompanied by their mothers. Hahaha!

May isa pa, iyung A Tale of Two Sisters...Nawawala nga lang

The CSB Experience 2: Ang Gym sa AKIC

Nice!

The CSB Experience 2: Na-USTe Ako ni Nikko DS!

Hehehe!

So I was in this place in Valenzuela, and upon entry I saw Nikko’s name on a logbook. Good thing I’d be able to talk to him with regards to the CSB ID lace he wanted for. I wasn’t able to reach him by neither phone nor text for a whole month so seeing him in person is a much-needed relief.

Knowing Nikko for a long time, he’s really shy and quiet.  No one expected that he had a knack of talent over dancing. A talent he was able to show in several school events back in high school like Enigma and Alay Kina Nanay at Tatay.

I was quite surprised to see him after such a long time, he looked a bit taller, bigger and his hair completely contrasted his personality.

I’m quite curious on what he does on his course in UST which is Architecture (popularly known by many Tigers as “Arki”). I heard it is very hard, especially that by their first year, they are already doing plates and even models of houses.

Soooo anyhow, back to what I was saying earlier, so we had an agreement that since I’m going to buy him a CSB id lace/strap, he’s to pay me back by buying me my own UST lace. I bought him the lace for 90-pesos so he has to pay me back sooner or later. Unfortunately, he was busy with finals and even though it’s sembreak he can’t go to school. Even he does, he won’t find any ID lace anyway since their bookstore went out of stock.

He promised that he will notify me if ever he succeeded in buying me my own lace in exchange for buying him his own from CSB. So for the meantime, all I need is to wait.

The CSB Experience 2: Na-USTe Ako ni Will!

Perhaps some of you may get confused on who this "Will" is. He's not overseas buddy William Evans, nor is he fellow undergrad Willord Chua, nor is he even one-time conquistador William the Conqueror of Normandy. This particular "Will" is loud, opinionated, and loved by many. He is Will the Thomasian Blazer.

I find him quite the reciter during Partdes (Philippine History of Arts and Design) every Monday. If there's something in his mind, he doesn't hesitate to raise his hand. Funny and witty yes, that's why he became friends with my friend from last term's Hartds-1, Trish.

Just last Monday, he accompanied me to National Bookstore-La Salle Taft while I was looking for something for tomorrow's Colrend. Since he's on his way home to D. Jose LRT Station, we both rode the LRT. There we began to know each other better. He now know about my new interest in radio broadcasting while I now know about his past venture from web designing.

Despite already being in CSB for quite a while now and is now an AB-FDM, he still uber miss UST, CFAD, Arki, Arki friends, and Arki classmates. He also keeps on mentioning Dianne and Nikko DS since they were, after all, our common link to each other (Thus the reason we became friends in the first place).

He's really nice, and I really like his personality. Thus the reason why I'm also friends with Mark-not-the-Jamer, and my other ex-classmate from JoseRiz, whose colorful personalities shone like a fluorescent light bulb. :D

The CSB Experience 2: Clothes, Smell

For quite sometime now, I've been noticing something about myself yet still wondering on what exactly made me make that thought in the first place. It was then I realized that my clothes smells very odd.

I mean, before going to school, my newly-worn clothes smelled like laundry powder with an added Downy Anti-Bac, which make them smell all the more delightful. But whenever I got home, my clothes smell very odd. It's as if there's something inside CSB (or at least in SDA in particular since it's where I have all my classes now) that making my clothes smell.

Eventually I came up with the conclusion on what made them smell. I used my "smell sense" to scan the shirt I just wore today. I discovered numerable scents from various aromas, aromas coming from different food, food being sold and eaten at the SDA CAF!

So whenever I entered the SDA Caf, these aromas get caught on my clothes and by day's end smell like roasted chicken poured with gravy and added with kimchi rolls and spicy Korean beef noodles.

The CSB Experience 2: Lunchtime Gigsters with the MusicProd People in the Caf

As I am writing this blog, there's an ongoing one-man concert right here at the SDA Caf. And just now, the one singing just finished and left the stage for the next act. The next one is a guy with a brown over pink jacket holding a white guitar while sitting and a cheat sheet taped on his mic stand.

The guys from Music Production are one of the most musically creative people among all the SDA people here in CSB. Though a minority compared to the bigger MMA majority, they assimilated well into the SDA community. That's because for most of our stay in CSB, we'll get to be with them as classmates for our minors and design foundation subjects.

I don't know much about how MusicProd works since they are mostly music-related and is somehow related to the more-technical courses like Technical Theater.

But right now, I'm seeing how MusicProd students do their thing but having a live concert right in the middle of C-Break where their fellow students would be able to witness their different talents in the field of music.

The CSB Experience 2: From P. Ocampo to P. Noval and back (Tour de Manila 2)

I'm sooooo sleepy right now. Just like how I said it on my facebook status, it's been one hell of a day for me. I even thought I may never get to live to see the next day.

1. P. Ocampo St./Vito Cruz-Taft Avenue

Past 11 am today, I left SDA and headed towards National Bookstore-La Salle Taft. I asked customer service if their branch in Harrison have stock on an 18"x24" watercolor paper. They do have such a paper but they never said that they actually have the size I was looking for. I need this for my then-upcoming midterms for Colrend. So I had no choice but go to Harrison Plaza to check out their stock.

2. Mabini St.

I went to Harrison to check if they have what I'm looking for. They do but they don't have any 18-by-24 inches of such size. Since I was feeling hungry, I ate lunch at Greenwich (first time in a long while). There I spent 113 pesos for my food.

3. Pedro Gil

I took a jeepney ride behind BSP to Pedro Gil so I could then check out their branch. Same story but I did saw my cousin Louie who is supposed to have her sembreak from St. Paul U-Manila but was there with her friends, wearing t-shirts with imprinted "I Am a Paulinian" designs added with the presence of Mica who was there to visit her prof in UP Manila. I asked CS if they have what UI'm looking for in their SM San Lazaro branch but they don't. Which left me no other choice.

4.  P. Noval

This was my last possible option, since I have until 2:45 to get myself back to CSB, I rode the LRT towards Tayuman and eventually ended up in P. Noval. First stop was Joli's. Despite the fact the UST was to have its sembreak that week, a lot of students were seen gathering in Beato Angelico.

Back to Joli's, I asked if they have what I'm loooking for but unfortuanetly they don't have one in such a size. But the good thing is that they're willing to cut their largest size to fit into an 18 by 24 size. By that would mean added cost totalling 42 pesos. I then realized that I also forgot to bring from hoem my things for the midterms (stupid of me, yes) so I have to buy the cheapest materials I'd need like RBY Dong-Ah poster paints (Php22.00 each), and a brittle brush (Php13.00).

I went to Lexan's to buy a small 12-peso mixing plate because one of the ladies in Joli is too bsuy entertaining customers.

I was to leave Espana altogether when I, just when I was about to see the "Arkong Bato". realized I left my umbrella in Joli's and my LRT ticket at Lexan's so I have to get back.

4. Quiapo-Liwasa-Ermita-Malate-San Andres-P. Ocampo

To save money, I took a 13-peso jeepney ride to Vito Cruz on a jep plying the Quezon Boulevard-Vito Cruz rourte. I know what consequences I'm risking but I had no choice. I'm already dead tired with al the freshness in me long gone.I'm sweaty and I am yet to have my midterm plate done.

The jeep's radio is set to Yes! FM and for the whole hour, they played nothing but Pinoy alternative msuic from now till those from 4 years ago. I sat there sight seeing places like Espana Blvd., the Lacson Underpass, Quiapo (once all glitter and now the epitome of Pinoy urban blight and despair), Plaza Miranda, P. Hidalgo, Quezon Bridge (endangered from urban blight and negligence due to vandalism).

We took a turn to Liwasang bonifacio where I was able to see the staue of the plaza's namesake, Gat Andres Bonifacio, the Philippine Post Office Building, Pambansang Aklatan, and eventually I was back from where I started: P. Ocampo.

I cam home sleepy, tired, and I wanna rest til tomorrow since I have to go back to school so I could finish my pre-midterm works for Comgrap.

Waghh!

The CSB Experience 2: El Plato

One of this days, I'm planning on posting my first few plates I've made so far early during the duration of the term in Multiply and eventually on DeviantArt (When I have the time to register an account for this site). I was somehow a bit surprised with the plates I've been doing for the past 7 weeks or so. There those I know sucked (mostly those made from Frehand), others a so-so (my frequent use of sunsets/warm colors as my theme for Colrend and Desprin), and 'mediocrish-er' than the above mentioned (Comgrap works).

But despite the odds, I have this strange feeling of calm and enjoyment. Careless if I made a wrongful mistake (as if there mistakes that are right) nor did have I not observed closely on making proper strokes and all, I felt at ease with myself when doing what I do most, drawing.

More than just drawing plates, I discovered that I'm also calmer when I'm painting, mixing colors from poster paints R, B, and Y to make YO-O-RO-R-RV-V-BV-B-GB-G-YB. Maybe because I underestimated myself to much.

Maybe...maybe I never quite understood on what I really CAN do. I dwell too much on what I canot do that I failed to see the extent of my true abilities as given to me by God.

I'm still trying to look for my true calling as an individual, a human being, a person with a purpose in life. I know I won't get any instant answers by just asking myself these lame questions, but who knows, right?

The studying of design and the arts is as difficult as trying to know the difference between pi and pie but maybe what will make learning easier for many of us is to focus less on the "difficulty" part and put on the more appropriate "challenging" adjective to best describe this episode in life.

I may not have what others may have now, I may not possess the things that make some people glitter with their smiles, and I may not have the resources and means to even have such acquisitions in the short-term but what I do have as well as other people have is the satisfaction and recognition that we get from our endeavors and not just because we have the financial means to do it, but because we did it out of passion, love, and dedication.

Maybe someday I could create a painting out of a blank 18"x24" illustration board that I have now. Heheheh!

DZMM Radio Guesting

Loved the experience! Enjoy!

The CSB Experience 2: Jaime and the Sgt. Esguerra Visit (a.k.a. Tensyonado sa Radyo)

Hay...It's been a rough day for me. It was a real thrilling, fun and really embarrassing ride. I can't stop seeing recent episodes of myself doing "Ah..ah...ah.." and "eh..eh...eh..." and a bit of "uhm...a...uhm...". Eewww...

So here's what happened. I was, as usual, early in the venue (the old ABS-CBN Broadcast Center along Sgt. Esguerra) an hour and half before call time at 2pm. I texted Mr. Dei Cayabyab, one of the DZMM people, telling him that I'm already in the venue. He texted back, saying he's yet to be there by 2 so he said I should go straight inside the DZMM waiting area inside the station itself and meet Mr. Dingdong Marco, another DZMM guy. We shook hands and he showed me the waiting area which happened to be a conference room.
To while away the time, I just read some newspapers found lying on the conference table and listened to my I-pod.

Eventually, my competition arrived: the girls from La Consolacion-Manila. One is a 4th year Masscom student named Leigh ("Lei" as it is pronounced) and a fellow Masscom girl named Nadine. They brought along some allies for moral support while I'm with my lonesome self (I invited people to come with me but they declined but promised that they'll be there in spirit, others had classes at that time).

And that leads to one question: Who's my freakin' partner LOLz?! Well, Ms. Au, who's behind the invitation and stuff informed me that he's a second-year MMA student as well, a guy named Charlon Yu. I may not know his name but I may have seen him as one of the many random faces I see walking around SDA. That was just it. I was sitting in one of the cubes when right behind me, someone gave me a fright from behind.

"Ah..ikaw pala ang partner ko?...Ikaw iyung madalas nakikita ko sa SDA, ah?"

Funny he said that since I should ask him that same question, hahahaha!
So we thought of some plan on how we should be able to outwit the girls from LaCon although I was really thinking of having him as the First Speaker. In debate, the first speaker from the affirmative group (which usually go on first) must set out the guidelines, the parameters and all those stuff, something I was ill-trained of when I was still a member of my school's debate org (lasting only one term but boy was it bloody!). I'm very well suited to become second speaker IMHO since I could well support the stance of the first and effectively rebutt the statement made by the first speaker of the opposition.

Time for our TV-Radio debut!

It was almost 3pm, and Freddie Webb's sport show, "Sport Talk", just ended. We entered the booth (3nd time to visit a radio station booth, the first was Magic 89.9 and 99.5 RT more than a month ago), we were seated on assigned seats. Cameras were there to monitor us (for telecast over DZMM Teleradyo), and I was shy seeing myself on TV as there's a TV screened placed in front of the booth for us to see.

Ms. Roselle Manahan a.k.a. Ms. M is the program's host for U-Talk. The topic given was "Death Penalty: Dapat ba o hindi Dapat ibalik?". We were introduced and skipping some parts, it was time for the heads up. To know who's going first, there was a coin toss. We were tails and LaCon girls were heads. Tails was in showed and we were asked if what side we wanna be and my friend here let me say our stance. I froze a bit and said "Yes!".

Then it all came crushing down: It was agreed that i was to be the first speaker. Why oh why do i must be the first! AHGGHH! My weakness I have to face! By the way, the debate is based on British Parliament format.

Then it was my turn to speak and it didn't started oh-so-well. I froze up, stuttered and got the case of the jiggers. No biggie, I just really can't look back to that scene.

The good thing though is that I was able to make up by raising POI's and although it was clear there wasn't a stable teamwork coming from our side since we don't have a clear communications between ourselves (blame that on our unfamiliarity to each other). There was one POI (point-of-info) that I failed to raise against one of the speakers from the opposition due to the lack of time (last 30 seconds of the speech would prevent the other side to give anymore POI's).

Winner for the week went for LaCon which is okay since, first of all, we don't want the winner's prize anyway, a gift check for Bio Essence (what kind of a guy would wanna have Bio Essence?). But to compensate, we were all given 400-pesos worth of Expressions gift checks each. Before the show ended< iwas able to pluf MMx's upcoming PVW in Zambales which served as my lasting redemption at the very least.

It was nice to know Charlon, now that I know he's from DV2 too like Jomar, Dims, and the other DV2 people I know of. That'd make one random face less in SDA.

I got good feedback, at least from my parents, saying I looked good on TV, very telegenic daw. Hahaha! Add to that they said I had good modulation of my voice, I sounded like a real AM announcer hahaha! Working on my self-confidence and stuff would do me fine if ever I'd be given the chance again to be on radio and TV.

So, do you guys think I have a career in media? Hahaha!

City Sense with Trains La-Chuga-Chugz

An article I think you may find interesting from the Philippine Star.

It's all about Philippine trains which was the MRT and LRT of the past, as well

as the common mode of transport back then after the war. Enjoy!

Modern Living

Terminal memories, railway dreams
CITY SENSE By Paulo Alcazaren
Saturday, October 18, 2008

Before the LRT and MRT our city was in a sordid mess caused by a reliance on PUVs (public utility vehicles) and a road network that disintegrated upon the onset of the yearly rains. Today we keep ou

t of total Armageddon traffic-wise by a growing usage of mass transit systems that run on rails.

Time was when our inner-city and inter-city transport was mainly serviced by highly efficient, environmentally friendly electric trams and steam trains. The late 19th century saw the opening of the original Manila-Dagupan rail line that was franchised by the Spanish colonial government to an English consortium. City transport via tranvias developed in parallel courtesy of a European investor named Zobel.

The Americans built on that initial line and extended it north so that it almost climbed

up to Baguio (which was the goal until costs escalated beyond practicality) and south eventually to Bicol (although the original intent was to reach the Pacific coast).

World War II saw the tranvia system almost completely destroyed but the heavier inter-provincial train system was rebuilt because it was cheaper and more efficient compared to bus and car travel, which was hindered by the fact that we had almost no freeway or long-distance super-highway system in place.

The Philippine National Railways was the premier transport institution that rivaled inter-island shipping and the nascent air transport system in the ’50s to the ’60s. A magazine feature in 1960s gives an indication of the importance of the train system in Luzon in that era.

The report stated: “Every year, 8,600,000 Filipinos commute by train. Every year, too, the trains haul some 1,200,000 tons of freight over some 2,000 miles. These statistics indicate the heavy rail traffic and the importance of railroad in the economics of mass transportation in the Philippines.

“It is difficult, of course, to portray these statistics in terms of human interest in the space of a (short article, but a long peek is possible with Tutuban Station). Here, the climate of rail travel is evident. Here is found the melting point of rail tracks that stretch to the North and to the South.

“The Manila Railroad Company (the precursor of the PNR) sits at the helm of the country’s sprawling railroad industry. Its first and last concern is public service.”

This public service was best seen in the system’s main terminal — Tutuban Station.

The MRR in the ’60s was in the middle of gearing for the swinging ’60s. It had served the Philippines well in the ’50s, expanding its reach and diversifying into support services. The article went on, “The modernization of Tutuban Station is symbolic of the MRR’s progress. Today, 10 new powerful General Electric ‘Streamliners’ rumble across the tracks at Tutuban.”

To show how efficient it was, the report cited, “One diesel-electric locomotive pulling a freight train of 50,000 tons with a crew of five and using one teaspoon of fuel oil per ton-mile is the rough equivalent of 500 trucks with each truck carrying 10 tons.”

Imagine if we had kept this system and managed to expand it from the ’60s up to today. We would have reduced drastically the need for cargo and container trucks to enter the metropolis, clog up our roads, hasten the deterioration of pavements and pollute the air.

Such a system is acknowledged by the article for its larger contribution to the economy: “The railroads play an important role in the expanding economy of the nation. Products have to be hauled to markets and machinery has to be transported to the different factories and plants scattered throughout the provinces.”

The MRR also served the basic transport needs of the general public. “The MRR has done its best to provide efficient rails service to the public. That is its mission. MRR’s nerve center is located at Tutuban station. Here the personnel of the MRR’s main office operate. But Tutuban station is also a fascinating place. Children always find chug-chugging trains exciting objects. Light and shadow play with each other in the station. And the anonymous faces of the crowd hide a hundred secrets, a thousand dreams.”

The description continues a la Life magazine: “At Tutuban Station one is met at once by an anonymous mass of faces. The faces belong to the people who are either going or coming. The expressions on the faces are varied. Those who are going to have time to kill waiting for their train have the magazine stand and the juke box … but there are those who wait and think fondly of the joyous moment of reunion with their relatives in the provinces.”

Tutuban station was spacious and reasonably comfortable until the early ’60s. Mismanagement and the competition for bus lines, airlines and inter-island ships led to the systems’ almost complete demise. A short-lived revival in the martial law era was … well, short-lived. The PNR rail system is today a mere shadow of its former self. Tutuban Station has survived but only by morphing into a shopping mall.

The emergence of the LRT and MRT systems was welcome news. The systems have come, however, after the car, jeepney and bus systems have pushed the capacity of the metropolis’ roads (and peoples’ nerves) to the limit. The light rail systems should have come first precisely to contain all the negative effects of pollutive vehicles.

Inter-province travel for the majority who cannot afford air-travel is limited to overcrowded Japayuki buses accessed in grimy terminals along EDSA’s curbside with little by way of traveler comfort, clean bathrooms or accommodations for the elderly, the differently abled, women or children.

Imagine again if rail travel was prioritized for inner-city and inter-city travel. Imagine north, east and south modern train terminals for inter-modal travel in large sites that do not disrupt EDSA or any other road traffic. Imagine how much traffic congestion fast heavy-rail trains could eliminate from the NLEX and SLEX for both public transport and freight movement.

Imagine drastically reducing EDSA traffic by imposing a ban on any more franchises for Monumento-Caloocan buses that are never filled up and block almost all major intersections. The ban would force the LRT-MRT system to maximize its capacity, which should be subsidized by government anyway because it saves the metropolitan and national economy billions from shorter commute times and healthier urban air.

Of course this can be done if we only had the will and the common sense to rationalize our transport system. We would also have to make sure that urban design catches up with the requirements of increased pedestrian traffic between rail modes of transport. We are sorely lacking in proper, safe, well-lighted and weather-protected pedestrian interconnections, sidewalks and links between different rail-based systems, ground-based systems or parking (for park-and-ride options).

The MMDA is trying its best but what is needed is a set of standards for urban design that is based on a larger master plan for the metropolis. Here we go again. Without proper master plans, a modern code for urban design or an appreciation of how everything is linked together in the complex urban fabric of a crowded city, then we might as well be satisfied with railway dreams.

Feedback is welcome. Please e-mail the writer at paulo.alcazaren@gmail.com

By the way, I think the railway system from Tutuban going down south may already started putting up new tracks as seen now along Blumentritt LRT Station. Now that's good news. I wonder if PNR would do the same for the Caloocan-Malolos route.

Photoshop Set: Overdue Comgrap

Last minute submission since I wasn't around during Comgrap two Tuesdays ago....

Final na'to hehehe ENJOY!

Movie Titles I've Come Up Since High School

Just now, I was bringing my mom a pitcher of water from the fridge when I saw some worn-out two-year old scratch paper posted on the fridge door that's been there since God-knows-when. So checked them out and was surprised that all that I've written there since third year high school are still intact.

Those pieces of paper were doodles I used to drew whenever I'm bored out during class discussions especially during Math IV with Ms. Mejia (I know it's wrong but that's better than falling asleep in class). Those doodles are my would-be film credits if in case I see myself in the future with the career in filmmaking hahaha!

So here's the list of titles I've come up when I was in 4th year HS.

Paper 1: Sports (July 21, 2006)

  1. Archers (The Road to Victory)- [Slogan:One Team Can Reach Thousand Dreams to Win] Synopsis: I did this when La Salle was suspended from the UAAP for one year so this I used as the basis for the storyline: The Green Archers, after coming back from a year of suspension, have to rebuild itself and regain the trust of the Lasallian student body and prove that they deserve the UAAP crown once and for all.
  2. Pinoy Putbol-Synposis: FIFA just admitted the Philippines as a full-time member so Team Pilipinas have to prove itself to the rest of the football-loving world that it has what it takes to make it to the top of the FIFA World Cup in Germany come 2007 (Part 1 is the Southeast Asian Qualifiers then the Asian Cup for Part 2; Part 3's the big league itself).
  3. Over the Net (Inspired by a true story)-Synopsis: The cliched of all cliched sports-themed movies, this one's about the girl's volleyball varsity of one underfunded public high school in Bagong Barrio, Caloocan who once brought glory during its peak. It's the job of the new head coach who was once a varsity player for the school years ago to pick up the pieces and save the school from the clutches of an evil entrepeneur bent on demolishing it in place of a big warehouse 99 cents store. And these are ALL "based from a true story".
  4. The Feat-[Slogan: A young boy will run for his dreams] Synopsis: A poor boy from the province up North is gifted with great athletic abilities. Discovered by a scouting track-and-field coach from a reputable school, he's given the chance of a lifetime to turn his life around for the better, thus we'll witness his triumphs and failures and eventually see him run his way to the top.
  5. Burn-Synopsis: A young boy possessed a rare talent at car racing. As he grows, he will be mentored by his widowed father and guided by his not-so-reliable good pals as he moves from being a soap-derby wannabe to a NASCAR car racer. (Theme songs for this movie would be "Burn" as in "I want you to burn....Burn for me, baby! Like a candle in my life!!")
  6. Left Turn <<<-[Slogan: How will you choose between career and love] Synopsis: It's been three years after a fateful motorcycle accident in C-5 claimed the life of a popular motocross driver. Flash forward to today, his twin brother is following his foot steps. What sets him back is the pleading of his girlfriend of three years, who happened to be his dead twin's flame then, so he could instead settle for quiet life with her. This movie includes a shower scene where the guy is taking a shower while his girlfriend surprisingly seduces him so he could steer away from hitting the road again. (BTW, his twin died when he got hit by a truck while making a left turn, which left the other twin traumatized whenever he sees a left turn sign on the road).
  7. Uppercut-Synopsis: Doing ala Rocky Balboa, this one's about an aspiring boxer who's hell-bent on making a name for himself in boxing. But his past continues to haunt him from the murder of his father to the boxing incident that claimed his older brother's life forever. Will he punch himself to victory?
  8. My Journey...For My Dream-Synopsis: Well, this one would probably the first martial arts movie centered solely about the art of yaw-yan. One young student aspired to become the number one yaw-yan master in the Philippines. But he must prove himself worthy thus he must befall all those that prevent him from climbing up, even his bitter rival...and best friend.
Paper 2: Anything else in Class

  1. High School Varsity....the musical-[Slogan: When athletic jocks sing their guts out of their game]The basketball varsity version of the popular Disney Channel movie. It's about the Anglers MBT bent on getting the MaNa Meet crown. One way for them to get it is to sing their way through the competition. (We're all in this together, lalalalalala!)
  2. Sketch Pad!-A mysterious sketchpad landed on the hands of a high school boy in the year 2006. being bullied always, he would write his grievances on this sketchpad that would found their way 23 years earlier by a high school girl from the year 1984. A relationship beyond time and space would develop. Where did the sketchpad came from? And what's the connection between the 2006 guy and the 1984 girl?
  3. The School Scandal-[Slogan: A Detention Gone Wrong] Synopsis: A group of students pissed a teacher so as a consequence, they were sent to a detention class and were left with a sexually-thirsty man-teacher. Suddenly, things got horribly wrong. Theme of the movie: Sex, scandals, betrayal and a lot of heat!
  4. Class Affair-[Slogan: Ready for class?] An innocent high school boy is seduced by a hot-hot teacher. Is he ready for a....class affair?
  5. Evil Teacher 101-[Slogan: He hates him...Time for a payback!] Synopsis: I was able to develop a manuscript for ET101 but the notebook I used went missing last year in CSB. It's all about a grudge a student is carrying against a good-for-nothing PE teacher he had a year before. Now he's bent on taking revenge and he got a little help from the student body. The catch? The PE teacher doesn't even know people hate him.
  6. Haunted Dormitory-[Slogan: Evil has a new building] Synopsis: The Mujer la Descarada Dormitory for Boys used to be an orphanage for juvenile delinquents five decades ago until it was burned down due to unknown reasons. Now as a dorm, it is now being hunted by the souls of spoiled delinquents lingering from hall to hall and it's up to the new dorm mate to solve the mystery behind the building's burning or else hang the lives of his co-tenants in the balance. Time is in the essence.
  7. School Break-[Slogan: One will do the unthinkable: To get out of school!] Synopsis: Obvious that this is a Prison Break inspired suspense movie set in a school? The story's about a young 16-year old boy who was forcibly sent to a boarding school called Fort St. Lackland Boarding Schoolis due to spend the rest of his high school years in that school. He is the center of a conspiracy thus it is up to his half-brother to bail him out by having himself tattooed with the school's blueprint (since their dad was involved with the school's building 3 decades go) and expose the conspiracy as the evil trust company that they are. the catch, he has to bail out some boardmates as well.
  8. When Bullies Attack-Synopsis: School bullies have long been known as every school boy's worst nightmare. But one day, these bullies have gone out of control after eating the roasted body parts of the remains of "The Birds" and started to bully the whole townspeople. It is a matter of survival and death.

Paper 3: Mixed

  1. Chopsuey-[Slogan: Kaya pala minumulto kasi panis na'to!] Synopsis: Young Boy Ramirez found a mysterious bowl filled with seemingly harmless and delicously-smelling chopsuey. Once he brought it home, luck seemed to pur over him and his family. But a curse befalls to whoever eats from the cursed chopsuey, according to their Chinese zodiac animals, they would die from  grave misfortune, extreme stomach pains and food poisoning resulted from the 100-year old expired chopseuy.
  2. SJA High School Reunion 1: Ang Honor, Ang Cheater, Ang Lover-Synopsis: Out of all the movie titles mentioned here, I possess the one and only existing manuscript, and it's this one. Set in a reunion 10 years after high school, it follows the lives of the former popular girls, the bullies, the jocks, the nerds, the couples, and The Honor, The Cheater, and The Lover. Based on real people set in a fictional setting.
  3. Sosi!-[Slogan: Sosi have never been this hotter and sexier!] Synopsis: The hottest girl in school, Sosi Laguardia, is the most popular girl in high school, and she's oozing with sex appeal, material wealth, and "Sosi-licious" hotness ever! But deep inside she's still an ordinary girl trying to fit in. In a world of wealth, sex, and fame; she will find the true calling destined for her to fulfill.
  4. Sirang Tiyan- [Slogan: Kakayanin ba ang...Sirang Tiyan?] Synopsis: An innocent young lad accidentally ate a nuclear-power capsule mistaken for a Fitrum capsule. This capsule is equal to the two atomic nuclear bombs used in the past world war if released. Time is running out for two FBI super agents so they must act now to save the lad so they could save the world.
  5. Lackluster Star-[Slogan: When you're not a second-rate trying hard copycat!] Synopsis: A young girl dreams of becoming a singer, and found that opportunity by becoming a backstabbing fan for starlet singer. She'll do anything for her ambition to see the light of day, no matter what the cause. Even it means stepping on her family, her starlet idol, and her supposed-to-be fans.
  6. Aswang @ the Gym-[Slogan: Ang workout ng iyong kamatayan] Synopsis: An aswang lurks inside a newly-opened Fitness First in one of the newer SM malls (Either that or its Gold's Gym), and its taking gym-goers fall prey to it one-by-one. Photoshop Set: Comgrap Worx

The best and the worst!

The CSB Experience 2: Tour of the Greenies and of the Guys of B.A.

I've long been noticing for the past month or so that SDA has been getting quite a lot of visitors lately.

More often than not do we get almost weekly visits from the students of our NCAA junior school La Salle Greenhills. I'm guessing they're only touring SDA only out of CSB's three main campuses, leaving out Main and AKIC. Hmm...I guess it is a way for the school to attract future applicants to CSB by showing off the greatness that is CSB's SDA Building. I'm also guessing that they are also in dire need of getting the good catch on the good players from the Greenies since the school's recruitment program is somewhat "weak" compared to the likes of NCAA-member schools lke San Beda, Mapua and Letran according to some. (DLS-CSB took DLSU's vacant slot about ten years since leaving the league during the 80's).

During much of the LSGH visits, I'm usually either at the SDA Caf eating lunch or at the Student Lounge doing Frehand. The Lounge by the way is surrounded by glass walls so it is more often used as a "must-see" for any visitor to witness the development of the country's future artists, designers, and animators.

Just this afternoon, the school was again visited by another group of students, this time from a reputable international school called "Bright Academy" based in Cebu. There were quite a crowd. All of theme were wearing B.A. jackets with their names imprinted on it. A rainbow class from different nationalities: Korean, Japanese, American, and even Filipino (Bai!).

And I thought "B" stands for "Brent"...

The CSB Experience 2: Unintended Plate

Yesterday, I started my homework on making my new plate for Desprin. I was to show all warm and cool colors and that include Y-YO-O-RO-R (Warm) and YG-G-BG-B-BV-V-RV (Cool) using B, R, and Y poster paints courtesy of Dong-Ah. I made two small square and that's were I basically painted, one for warm and the other for cool.

This morning, I found out that the whole plate was supposed to be filled with the poster paints so I had the two existing squares expanded by painting them to look longer and larger.

Eventually I had the plate finished and with more than an hour to spare, started to solidify the colors. I enjoyed doing this plate, especially the mixing stuff. Doing it made me feel kinda fascinated rather than bored with it since I felt a passion to do it, no matter how it would look like in the end.

The plate is done for good and I don't have the slightest idea on what my plate really is (it was on landscape). I thought at first that it looked like a big yellow foot with a toe, hahaha! But when I turned it around by 90 degres\es, er, I mean portrait position, I was AMAZED!!

The plate if placed on portrait looks like a scene of a beautiful sunset about to submerge over a green field with a blue-violet lake at the very bottom. I didn't expect it would turn out like that but I was proud about it. The only problem is that I painted over the lines, hahaha!

Hidden talent? I don't know, but God only knows how I did it. Thank goodness for that!

The CSB Experience 2: Dragons and Demons

I see myself doing things that could pretty well kill me in the long-term.

The CSB Experience 2: Frustrations

I think it's that time in college life when you know you that works gets piled up and you don't have the slightest idea what to do to them. It's exactly what's happening to me right now.

I'm having a difficult time right now especially in Comgrap. Compared with Desprin, Colrend and Frehand, Comgrap is the only hands-on subject for which my homework has to be made right at school and not from home. Comgrap requires its students to use Adobe Photoshop (preferably in its latest edition, CS3). Unfortunately that's bad news for me.

You see, I'm in a disadvantage here. I don't have a Photoshop program installed in my laptop nor to our family PC at home. Asking my parents to buy the program proved to be a futile effort; my dad said I should buy a pirated version instead while my mom nows that I need it sooner or later (thus having my own laptop) but she's quite mum about it so I don't what to expect.

Other than that, I have to go to school on days where I'm supposed to  have no class at all, which equaled to expenses on travel and food (instead of saving up my weekly allowance just for the sake of it). An added difficulty is the availability of freeslotted computer laboratories equipped with CS3 since most of them are used at different days at different times for class purposes. Those left would either have an old version of Photoshop or the computers are just too dang slow.

So the only solutions for my dilemma is probably: 1)Go to school 2 hours earlier before class at 11:30 am on Mondays and Fridays and 2) Go to school on my free days and leave as soon as I'm done.

Another frustration would probably be Frehand. I know my prof there is all nice and alright, I don't really have a problem with him, it's just that it's me who's the problem. I'm angry at myself because I couldn't get all the drawing stuff right. I love drawing but learning the basics and disciplines (shading, perspective drawing, etc.) proved to be way, way difficult.

I should be challenged instead of be angry. I should exert more effort on practicing drawing, utilize my HB, 2B and 6B a lot (I'm yet to buy more of 'em), and less on lazying around and being a bum at home (first time I ever used the word "bum").

So I should go with my favorite quote of the day, "Believe in yourself and create your own destiny. Don't fear failure".

Maski "ipis kinatatakutan ko" hahaha!

Broken Promises/Dreams

"Believe in yourself and create your own destiny. Don't fear failure"

One of the best Toonami ads aired on Cartoon Network. Aired sometime from 2000-2002, this is probably one of the most inspiring infomercials meant for the youth.

Featured clips include: Outlaw Star, Gundam Wing, Dragonball Z, and Tenchi Muyo

Insidente #1: Mabini St. en route to Roxas Boulevard (December 2007)

CALLING MAYOR SHERWIN GATCHALIAN AND 1st DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE REX GATCHALIAN, KAILANGAN NG TULONG NIYO ANG MGA MAMAMAYAN NG ARKONG BATO!!

Mga BUWISET!

Ang Malas sa Payong

Kahit umulan man o umaraw
Payong ko'y iyong maaasahan
Di ka na mababasa nang ulan
Di ka na mababasa nang ulan

Kahit ang bagyo ay kakayanin
Huwag kang lalayo sa akin
Di ka na mababasa nang ulan
Di ka na mababasa nang ulan

Di na, di na, hinde, hinde, hinde
Mababasa nang ulan
Di na, di na, hinde, hinde, hinde

The third in a series of "frustrated blogs" I've been doing since yesterday. This one's about my thing with umbrellas...

Ellah...ellah...eh..eh...

I think I have some sort of curse when it comes to umbrellas...I don't know. Misfortune, yes, but too much of it? Weird...

Lately I've been noticing a pattern whenever I bring an umbrella when going to school and whenever I don't bring one. On days that I do bring an umbrella, there's no rain showering over the city, or at least when I'm out commuting. That even if I know that the weather on those days would show signs of heavy rain due to the formation of cumulo-nimbus clouds, you know, "makulimlim na kalangitan"?

However, on days when I don't bring an umbrella because of promising looking skies, most often I've been deceived by such looks. I ended up getting wet and....getting wet. Yes.

Just last Saturday, I started my day deciding whether or not should I bring an umbrella. I brought one the day before but not a single drop of rain fell. I ended up not bringing one. I left Valenzuela with skies clear as blue. By day's end, it rained and upon leaving the LRT, I could see the sky as dark as some thug's dark underarm. None of the my fellow commuters dared to go outside in Avenida Rizal and wait til the traffic signs goes red. I took the risk, went out and just as the red light turned on (on the vehicles' side at least), i walked across in front of Victory Central Mall really fast.

Come with the misfortune of not having an umbrella is the misfortune of not having to wear shoes and instead wear sandals which I've been wearing for the past week. I had my shoes washed because a household lizard pooped on one of them.I was already running along Samson Road en route to the jeepney terminal in McArthur Highway when i slipped somewhere in front of Mang Inasal restaurant, almost fell to the ground, my big toe on my right foot got wounded and there's blood coming out from the wound.I hurriedly ran for dry land somewhere along the facade of a seemingly unused yet rented Ever Gotesco Grand Central building before going out again in the rain.

The moment I came home in Valenzuela, the rain there had since stopped and thank goodness it did because I don't know what to do. I don't even want to take a tricycle ride because I wanna save money.

I hate myself right now. Just today I brought, once again, an umbrella to school and it didn't rain, or at least it didn't rain while I was commuting earlier to and from school. Grrr.....!!
